1980 Lincoln town coupe.
The Town Coupe package was the most prestigious 2-door offering for the 1980 Lincoln Continental line, acting as an upscale trim layer above the base coupe. It added exclusive Town Car/Town Coupe script inside the rear quarter windows, B-pillar coach lamps, and deep 18-ounce cut-pile carpeting.
Beyond the standard luxury equipment, Lincoln leveraged the newly downsized Panther platform to introduce a revolutionary wave of high-tech and cosmetic factory options.
The Lincoln Town coupe was limited to two year production, With only 7,177 units built for 1980. This particular vehicle was optioned with the 5.8 351 Windsor engine, a one year only option.
This 1980 Lincoln town coupe spent a majority of its life in Florida. It retains a stock appearance and factory options. It has a straight clean body and very nice undercarriage. The paint could use a cut and buff to bring back its luster. The interior is very respectful for its age and is all there. The plastics do have some minor cracks as to be expected, but other wise very clean. The car runs and drives but could use a tune up. Basically it can be driven to move around but will need work to make roadworthy. This car is very solid and complete for someone looking to either restore or fix and drive.
The car has a few issues but as said, this car is to fix or restore. The car has a small oil leak from engine. The power steering leaks. Driver side window is not working. Also the ac is not working. The choke on carburetor needs adjusting. Please look through all the pictures and videos
This car was purchased as a future project. Plan was to basically build a “ hot rod “ Lincoln. But other projects have taken the lead and pushed this back. As such we are putting this up for sale.
