The 2021 Stage 3 package was rated by ROUSH at 750 horsepower and 670 lb-ft of torque, making this far more than a standard Mustang GT. Power is sent through a 10-speed automatic transmission and a 3.55 rear gear ratio, giving this Mustang the drivetrain combination to put its supercharged V8 to work. ROUSH also equipped the Stage 3 with a dedicated powertrain cooling package featuring auxiliary cooling, helping manage temperatures under demanding driving conditions.
The Stage 3 treatment goes well beyond the engine. ROUSH fitted these cars with a ROUSH-calibrated MagneRide suspension, a R9 aero body kit, ROUSH chin spoiler and wheel shrouds, high-flow corner pockets, hood and fender heat extractors, ROUSH badging, and the Stage 3 graphics package. The exterior package is finished off with 20-inch ROUSH Flowform wheels and Continental ExtremeContact Sport tires. Quad black-tip performance exhaust gives the car an aggressive finishing touch, while the functional exterior components were designed around both appearance and airflow.
Inside, the black leather interior carries the ROUSH treatment as well. The Stage 3 Sport Interior Package includes ROUSH embroidered floor mats, illuminated door sill plates, serialized Stage 3 badging, a ROUSH boost gauge, and red billet aluminum paddle shifters for the automatic transmission. The result is a cockpit that reminds you this Mustang was built with performance in mind every time you climb behind the wheel.
Of course, this Mustang still delivers the everyday features expected from a modern car, including power steering, power brakes, anti-lock brakes, airbags, air conditioning, power seats, cruise control, and radial tires. That combination of everyday equipment and ROUSH performance is a big part of what makes the Stage 3 such an interesting package.
