Garage Kept Motors is proud to offer this one-of-a-kind 2010 Dodge Challenger SRT8 Daytona, famously known as The Silver Bullet. This extraordinary vehicle is Serial #001, the very first of an extremely limited run of HPP-built Daytonasbelieved to be just one of three ever produced. Built by Heide Performance Products (HPP) in Metro Detroit, this car represents the ultimate fusion of modern muscle and legendary Mopar heritage. Under the hood is a supercharged 6.1L HEMI V8 paired to a 6-speed manual transmission, estimated to deliver over 600 rear-wheel horsepower thanks to its Kenne Bell supercharger and 3.92 rear gearing.
The story of this Daytona begins with Chrysler?s interest in reviving the iconic Superbird through a Challenger-based upgrade. When the company entered bankruptcy in April 2009, the factory-backed project was shelved. Undeterred, HPPfounded by former Chrysler engineer Gordon Heidacker and led in design by Jack Penningtonsecured approval to build the Daytona and Superbird conversions independently. This particular car, Serial #001, was owned by one of HPP?s founding members and features every available HPP upgrade at the time of buildno compromises, just pure vision and execution.
Among its 16+ custom features are a functional fiberglass shaker hood, an HPP-designed nose and rear wing tailored to the modern Challenger?s proportions, and a Magnaflow cat-back exhaust with rare side outlets (used on only three builds). It also includes custom HPP wheels and proudly wears a Serial #001 placard on the dashboard, affirming its place as the first of its kind. Fiberglass replacement parts such as the nose, hood, and wing are still available through OpenThrottle Customs in Muskegon, Michigan.
Finished in Silver with a sharp Black interior, The Silver Bullet presents in excellent condition and has been garage-kept and meticulously maintained since new. With only two owners and a legacy rooted in Mopar history, this Daytona is more than a high-performance street machineit?s a modern collector?s piece that bridges the gap between past and present.
