"2001 Wildwest Peace Maker Motorcycle
Custom bikes were at an all time peak in the early 2000's. The Discovery Channel aired a documentary about Jesse James called Motorcycle Mania which led to his wildly successful Monster Garage series. Two years later, American Chopper debuted leading to the popular Orange County Chopper franchise. Manufacturers took note and created turnkey representations of custom motorcycles.
For consignment, a 2001 Wildwest Peacemaker motorcycle with a title verified 331 actual miles. Like the Colt Peacemaker revolver it was likely named after, this bike achieves peace through strength and a sinuous, intimidating beauty aimed at weakening the knees of combatants without even firing a shot. This bike has been refurbished and restored to the gleaming presentation you see before you.
Exterior
If you're going to convince people to keep the peace, you better wear an intimidating color and black is the way to go! The glossy black colors the frame and the gas tank which flows seamlessly into the black leather bucket, rising again to coat the rear fender. The seat dips low between the black components, giving the bike the profile of a thread waisted wasp and the next thing you notice is the retina searing shine of the engine components and exhaust. No need to build special wheels, it's already been done for you with these polished and bladed beauties, 21-inch up front with 18-inch in back. Smoked light lenses complete the package and cap this bike's sinister look.
Drivetrain
That show quality engine on the frame is an S&S Super Stock 107ci V-twin mated to a 5-speed manual which spins the rear wheel through a belt drive. Exhaust consists of headers and chambered muffler and of course, shine with all the reflectivity of a showroom example. Disc brakes are utilized front and rear.
Functionality
Form meets function with the artful configuration of the sculpted handles at the end of a straight handlebar that house a single, center VDO gauge and a row of colorful indicator lights. Thumb buttons are bolt and clearly marked and side mirrors perch at the end of billet style aerodynamic stalks. Suspension includes a telescopic fork in front with a soft tail rear and hidden shocks and NOS footpegs keep your heels off the asphalt.
In the same way customers like a turnkey custom car, this Peacemaker provides all the benefits of a build without the added cost and hours. It's objectively attractive and different and while production numbers are hard to come by, it's safe to say these were not produced on the mass scale of typical commuter or touring bikes. There's a Latin idiom that says, ""he who desires peace, prepares for war"". Well, here's your wicked weapon of choice!
