Chassis K1398AM1480was subsequently sold new in 2001 by ClassicAuto Showplace, Ltd. in Troy, Michigan, and now shows just 320 original miles. Finished in Malachite Green with Wimbledon White racing stripes, the car is powered by a 351ci Ford Windsor V8producing approximately 385 horsepower paired with a Tremec five-speed manual transmission driving the rear wheels through an independent rear suspension. Superformance Mk III Cobras are built as factory-engineered rolling chassis and feature a boxed steel ladder frame, unequal-length control-arm front suspension, independent rear suspension, four-wheel disc brakes, rack-and-pinion steering, 15-inch Halibrand-style knock-off wheels, leather bucket seats, Smiths-style instrumentation, chrome quick jacks, polished roll hoop, wind wings, and side-exit exhaust.
