"1998 Ford Contour SVT
The Ford Contour was a compact sedan sold in North America from 1995 to 2000. The SVT model, produced from 1998 to 2000 by Ford's Special Vehicle Team (SVT), was a limited production performance variant. (Only about 11,500 Contour SVTs were produced over three years.) The SVT featured a more powerful V6 engine, sport-tuned suspension, larger brakes and distinctive styling.
Toreador Red Metallic Exterior-
This 1998 Contour SVT is a 2-owner, well cared for version of this performance sedan. The Toreador Red Metallic exterior is in overall good condition and is accented by front/side/rear ground effects skirting, fog lights and 16"" factory aluminum wheels that mount Yokohama radials. The original Midnight Blue leather interior shows minor wear and presents well. Features include A/C, dual front airbags, SVT instrumentation, sport bucket seating with 10-way power driver seat and 60/40 split rear seat. Other convenience options add power tinted windows, tilt-wheel, cruise, power locks, anti-theft alarm, keyless entry and premium AM/FM/Cassette sound system. (Window sticker included with the car)
Powered by Ford 2.5L V6 with Porsche Engineering-
The Contour SVT is powered by Ford's naturally aspired 2.5L DOHC V6 that was developed for the Ford Contour/Mercury Mystique models in conjunction with Porsche AG. The SVT version was rated at 195bhp-165lb/ft and was equipped with high-flow intake, performance camshaft and low-restriction dual exhaust. It is backed by a 5-speed manual FWD transaxle. The Ford Contour SVT chassis features four-wheel independent suspension, power rack/pinion steering and HD-SVT ABS 4-wheel power disc brakes. The SVT package also includes HD SVT MacPherson struts, SVT springs and front /rear stabilizer bars.
Enthusiasts regard the Contour SVT as one of Ford's best sport sedans of the '90s. These Contours are somewhat rare in today's marketplace and still perform quite well. This one would be a great addition to your Blue Oval stable.

As a means of continuing a close tie with classic car owners and enthusiasts, we offer a meeting room for car clubs and other groups to hold meetings, parties and other special events. Our space consists of 1,700 square feet set up with countertops, tables and chairs to handle your refreshment needs. We can also provide information on local catering services upon request. Call us to reserve a date and time. This space is offered free of charge upon approval of event.
