The Mitsubishi Legnum is the station wagon variant of the eighth-generation Mitsubishi Galant, produced primarily for the Japanese Domestic Market (JDM) between 1996 and 2002. Its name is derived from the Latin word regnum, meaning royal title or power. The car achieved legendary automotive status due to its high-performance flagship trim, the VR-4, which earned the title of 1996 Japan Car of the Year.
