Presented in a striking custom PPG Amelia Green, this 1995 Jeep Wrangler is a thoughtfully executed restomod that blends the unmistakable character of the YJ Wrangler with modern V8 performance and a carefully considered list of mechanical and cosmetic upgrades. Finished with a Black hardtop and complementary Black interior, the combination gives this Jeep a purposeful, understated appearance while retaining the rugged personality that has made the Wrangler an enduring American icon.
Power comes from a GM 5.3L LS V8 sourced from a 2004 Chevrolet half-ton pickup. The conversion was completed using components purchased through Novak Conversions, with the engine paired to an Aisin AX15 five-speed manual transmission that was purchased new specifically for the restoration. The resulting drivetrain provides a significant performance upgrade while preserving the engaging, traditional experience of a manual-transmission Jeep.
The chassis and suspension have been extensively reworked to complement the additional power and provide the stance and capability expected of a properly built Wrangler. The Jeep features spring-over suspension front and rear with shackle reversal, while a rebuilt Dana 35 rear axle with 4.10 gearing helps put the LS V8's power to the ground. The suspension is complemented by 15-inch black alloy wheels wrapped in substantial 33x12.50 radial all-terrain tires, giving the Jeep an aggressive yet well-proportioned appearance.
Inside, the Black interior has been finished with Bestop seats and Interletronics instrumentation, including a GPS speedometer. The cabin is particularly well equipped for a classic Jeep, with power steering, power brakes with front disc brakes, air conditioning, LED lighting, an AM/FM Bluetooth stereo, and tinted windows. These additions make the Wrangler considerably more comfortable and usable than its original configuration without compromising its vintage character.
The appeal of this Jeep lies in its balance. It retains the simple, iconic shape and personality of the 1995 Wrangler while incorporating a modern LS V8 drivetrain, upgraded suspension, improved braking, contemporary instrumentation, and the conveniences expected of a vehicle intended to be driven and enjoyed. The custom Amelia Green finish, Black accents, V8 power, five-speed manual transmission, and purposeful chassis upgrades come together to create a distinctive restomod with considerable visual presence and genuine enthusiast appeal.
