"1995 Ford Bronco Eddie Bauer
We've talked about Eddie Bauer before, the tennis shop owner from the 1920's who transitioned from tennis to sport and fishing tackle, and eventually, earning a patent on a down filled jacket and creating an outdoor clothing and equipment industry. The company partnered with Ford for models from 1984 to 2010 and with the exception of the F150 and one minivan, all other co-branded vehicles were SUVs.
For consignment, a 1995 Ford Bronco Eddie Bauer with a title verified 194,356 actual miles. This is a one owner rig, garage kept, and well maintained over the years including getting a new transmission at 127,000 miles.
Exterior
Big and boxy has made a comeback and we can thank the full sized Broncos first crafted in 1978 for that! Here is the father of the movement in Colonial White over light Santa Fe Metallic, an Eddie Bauer exclusive, here with a lighter tan cap. A side step is integrated into the rocker panel and a bug guard now keeps windshield insects at bay. Our slightly foggy headlights are flush to fascia for this generation and flank a sizable grille in plastic chrome over a robust front bumper. 15-inch aluminum wheels carry LT rated tires with a mid 2019 date code and the spare in back has a nice Eddie Bauer branded cover. This one owner truck shows some use and imperfections that include deplating and a few rust spots on the bumper, chipped paint, surface rust in and around the drip rail, stains on the cap roof, rust around wheel opening, front fender and rear quarter, a dent in rear quarter, scuffs, rock spray, scratches, staining on tail light lens, and blistering on sail panels.
Interior
Fords formed plastic door panels and black switchgear of the era tend to hold up well and that's the case here with our Saddle colored doors that present with a touch of age but overall nice. The Eddie Bauer stitched leather seats show use and the passenger side suffers from a big tear while the rear bench is fully intact with some slight patina. Our black steering wheel has some thumb controls, including the horn, and fronts a basic black instrument cluster and indicator lights. The stock AM/FM/CD radio is in place stacked over the familiar 3 knob A/C panel, all under a wide dash pad in good shape. Tan carpet covers the floor and the foam backed headliner and overhead console appear to be in nice condition. The way back carpet shows some staining and offers a sizable compartment.
Drivetrain
Here is Ford's venerable 5.0 liter V8, rated at 199 horsepower and fuel injected. It's backed by the E4OD 4-speed automatic transmission that routes power through 3.50 gears front and rear with limited slip in back which was overhauled in 2021. The bay presents in clean, driver quality condition.
Undercarriage
Typical surface and patina is noted on an otherwise clean underside with single exhaust flowing through a stock style muffler and exiting behind the right rear wheel. Power brakes are distributed as front disc and rear drum with new parts at both ends. Suspension consists of radius arms and coil springs up front and leaf springs in back.
Drive-Ability
The reliable rig comes to life with the turn of the key and sets out on our flat terrain where it performs flawlessly, tracking straight, riding tall, and as we come to expect, all functions on this Bronco work as intended and another good one joins our inventory! While Classic Auto Mall represents that these functions were working at the time of our test drive, we cannot guarantee these functions will be working at the time of your purchase.
We hope you're not tired of hearing about the popularity of ""vintage"" SUVs, and the more squared off they are, the more sought after they are! Here's a nice example you can drive with abandon and use it as intended; over rocks and stumps and parking lot wheel stops!
