Offering a gorgeous 1990 Chevrolet 1500 454 SS Pickup finished in the iconic black over red with just 19,777 km (approx. 12,289 miles) driven since a comprehensive, frame-off restoration. Hailing from a large private collection, this truck was originally purchased by the current owner from a local dealership in the West End of Montreal.
Following its complete rebuild, the truck still presents in remarkable, near-new condition and turns heads everywhere it goes. The glossy paint shows only very minor imperfections, while the underside features all-new mounts, bushings, a completely refreshed front end, and a 2-inch front and 4-inch rear drop kit to give the truck a fantastic leveled stance. It rides on smoothie bumpers and comes equipped with all-new brakes featuring a hydro powerboost setup, plus full Dynamat insulation installed throughout the cab for a much quieter ride.
Under the hood lies a heavily upgraded 454 cubic inch V8 engine (casting 14015445) bored .040 over to roughly 462ci. It features large oval-port number 148 heads, a mild camshaft, an Edelbrock intake manifold, a Quick Fuel 750cfm carburetor with a fuel return kit and pressure regulator, an electric fuel pump, and Hedman long-tube headers. Power is put down through a fresh TH-400 automatic transmission with a mild shift kit and a fresh 9.5-inch, 14-bolt rear end with 3.73 Posi gearing.
Inside, the cabin looks and feels exceptional, with only minor components showing any age. Best of all, every single feature on this truck works properly, including the power windows and an air conditioning system that blows ice cold. Classic two-door short-bed trucks with big-block power are in incredible demand right now, and finding one built and maintained to this standard is a rare opportunity.
