Zoom Classic Cars presents this 1988 Chevrolet C1500 Silverado Short Bed Restomod. Custom truck that features a 7.4L/454ci V8 coupled with a 4-Speed Automatic with 10 bolt rear end and lowered stance. Get ready to turn heads in this 1988 Chevrolet C1500 Silverado short-bed—a classic square-body transformed into a high-impact, big-block restomod. Striking the perfect balance between a badass street truck and an approachable project, this C1500 offers massive curb appeal, undeniable V8 rumble, and a rock-solid foundation. With less than 1,000 miles on the build (246k on the chassis), the previous owner poured extensive work into this truck after 2010. The current owner bought it in 2026 to finish up the final details but is thinning out a crowded garage full of competing projects. The 7.4-liter big-block V8 (believed to be a 1992-era block) features a throttle-body fuel injection situated in a very clean engine bay: The V8 is finished in the same metallic orange to match the body and is surrounded by a color-matched orange firewall and inner fenders. Premium coated headers from JBA Performance Exhaust dump into a custom aftermarket dual exhaust system that sounds absolutely wicked. Power routes through a smooth 4-speed automatic transmission to a 10-bolt rear axle, controlled by a period-perfect Hurst column shifter. The lowered suspension gives this short-bed a mean, aggressive profile without sacrificing drivability. Equipped with power steering and power front disc brakes. Beautiful Chevy Orange Paint that high-impact and paired with a color-matched front bumper, custom cowl hood, rear roll pan, and a slick recessed license plate pocket. Smoked lenses on the front turn signals and taillights give it a sleek, contemporary edge. A black TonnoMax soft tonneau cover keeps the bed looking clean. The truck rolls heavy on staggered black-finished 20-inch KMC wheels wrapped in 245/40R20 Cooper rubber. The Cabin features gray cloth low-back bucket seats, a center console, power windows, and a classic AM/FM cassette deck with a graphic equalizer for total retro vibes. This is a strong, driver-oriented street truck, not a trailer queen. The hard work is already done, leaving an easy opportunity for you to add the finishing touches and build instant equity. The truck has a \"To-Do\" List (Finish It Your Way): Electrical/Gauges: Wipers are currently inoperable; left turn signal doesn\'t auto-cancel; fuel gauge is inaccurate; brake warning lights are on. The A/C System compressor has been removed and the system is currently non-functional. Cosmetics items include a small crack in one smoked taillight lens, a minor hole in the bed sidewall above the driver-side wheel well as shown, sun visors and dome light lens are missing. The headliner was removed and the roof neatly painted to match the body. VIN Note: The truck is correctly titled under the factory windshield tag VIN. The replacement glovebox displays a different SPID sticker VIN from the donor parts vehicle. If you love the iconic look of a lowered OBS short-bed but want the raw torque of a 454 big-block, this truck delivers. It is mechanically sound, highly drivable as-is, and ready for you to cruise while fixing the minor details at your own pace. Save yourself years of fabrication costs and jump straight into a high-presence custom truck. Located in Massachusetts with clean title in the owner\'s name and comes complete with build photographs and build documentation. Call Jeff for more information or to schedule a viewing.
