1988 Chevrolet Corvette Convertible with an amazingly low 9,604 ORIGINAL MILES, WOW!!! Finished in Dark Red Metallic with a Red interior. Power comes from the factory 5.7L L98 Tuned Port Injected V8, paired with a 4-speed automatic overdrive transmission and supported by a limited-slip rear axle and aluminum driveshaft. Performance and handling are aided by Corvettes fully independent suspension with aluminum control arms, transverse fiberglass leaf springs, rack and pinion power steering, four-wheel power disc brakes, and the Bosch ABS II anti-lock braking system, along with the optional Sport Handling Package (Z51) which includes Performance springs Larger sway bars High-performance shocks and Performance brake components. Inside, the cockpit features Corvettes signature digital instrumentation including a Digital speedometer Bar-graph tachometer with Fuel gauge, Oil pressure, Coolant temperature, Voltage, and RPM. Along with a tilt and telescopic leather-wrapped steering wheel, map lights, power windows, power door locks, cruise control, intermittent windshield wipers, and a 20-gallon fuel tank. Comfort and performance options totaling OVER $4,000 include six-way power passenger and six-way power driver seats with specialized lumbar and side bolster adjustments, electronic air conditioning, and the premium Delco-Bose music system with electric-tuned AM/FM radio and as mentioned before the (Z51) package. Additional factory features include composite body panels, pop-up headlights, integrated fog lamps, aluminum wheels, dual outside mirrors, a manual convertible soft top, and Corvettes high-strength steel frame with side impact door beams and energy-absorbing steering column. When new in 1988, this Corvette carried out a GRAND total of $38,786! which in 1988 was considered a serious chunk of dough. And this car presents in OUT-STANDING! condition with an engine bay that appears exceptionally clean, an underside that appears original and beyond well preserved, with paint which has a deep glossy shine like a mirror and shows no visible scratches or blemishes.
