This regular-cab short-bed has the clean OBS look everyone wants, but underneath it has been heavily modernized with Camaro-based performance hardware, upgraded braking, custom suspension, and a late-model drivetrain package.
Power comes from a 6.2L V8 sourced from a 2014 Camaro donor and paired with a 6-speed automatic transmission. The engine bay has a clean, modern presentation with Camaro engine covers, a custom intake setup, upgraded wiring, and a detailed overall layout that makes this truck feel far more current than a factory 1988 C1500. The result is a classic Chevy pickup with modern power, smooth drivability, and the kind of performance that completely changes the personality of the truck.
One of the biggest highlights of this build is the 5th-generation Camaro independent rear suspension conversion. The rear features a bedliner, roll-up bed cover, and dual exhaust exiting neatly below the rear bumper. Inside, the cabin has been updated with a custom black bench seat featuring red stitching and red seat belts, tying the interior nicely into the exterior color. The dash has been upgraded with modern red-backlit gauges, a custom push-button start panel, air pressure display, digital climate controls, Kenwood audio, and a digital rearview mirror with camera display. The black and red theme gives the interior a finished, performance-inspired look without taking away from the truck's classic character.
