This 1987 Chevrolet Custom Deluxe was a family pickup truck for many years in Pennsylvania. Originally color was copper canyon metallic with 305 TBI, 8000 9000GVW 1/2 ton pickup and Muncie 4- speed manual transmission with crawling gear. The rear axle is 3.08:1. Tires are BF Goodrich P235/60R15.
This vehicle was restored in 2015. New Fenders, doors, bed sides and paint. Cab corners and rocker panels were replaced. The truck was finished with a two tone paint Silver and White combination similar to paint schemes of the time. Bucket seats were added with a custom fitted console from a 2019 Chevrolet Silverado which allows for a middle seat. A custom stereo with a Kenwood Excelon P-XW804B 8 subwoofer (below center console), Retro Sound radio, Rockford Fosgate R2-750X5 Amplifier, Infinity 6x9 rear speakers, Q-forms kick panels Polk Audio DB 6502 6 ½ front speakers with separate tweeters. The center console has two compartments. Opening the top lid allows for USB charging and audio connection for the stereo. A tilt column was added but the original steering wheel was kept. A factory tachometer was added and fuel gauge was replaced to smaller gauge on left hand side.
The motor is original and recently valve seals and intake gaskets were replaced. A new larger radiator was added. New alternator, power steering pump and clutch fan replaced. New fuel lines from engine to tank and new fuel pump within last two years. New front coil springs, upper A -arms and rear leaf springs were replaced. Shocks were replaced at same time in 2021. Body mounts have been replaced. New windshield wiper motor. Dual exhaust from engine back.
This truck is fun to drive and gets lots of looks!
