1987 Buick Grand National, Rust-Free Southern Car, Rare Digital Dash, Hardtop, Concert Sound, Turbocharged Icon Few automobiles have earned the legendary status of the 1987 Buick Grand National. Nicknamed the Darth Vader of the muscle car world, the Grand National shocked the automotive industry by proving that a turbocharged V6 could outperform many of the V8-powered sports cars of its day. Today, it remains one of the most collectible and respected American performance cars ever produced, and this exceptional example is ready for its next caretaker. Finished in its signature black-on-black color combination, this rust-free Southern Grand National has the aggressive presence that made these cars famous. The body is clean and straight, the paint presents beautifully, and every angle reminds you why these Buicks have become true icons of the 1980s. This is the kind of car that commands attention whether it's parked at a local cruise night or rolling down the highway. Unlike many Grand Nationals that have lived hard lives, this example has clearly been well cared for throughout the years. It retains its desirable hardtop configuration, giving it clean rooflines and an even more aggressive appearance that enthusiasts appreciate. Power comes from Buick's legendary turbocharged and intercooled 3.8-liter V6 engine, an engineering masterpiece that forever changed the perception of American performance. Paired with its automatic transmission, this Grand National delivers exhilarating acceleration while remaining comfortable enough to drive anywhere. It starts easily, idles smoothly, runs strong, and provides the unmistakable boost that made these cars feared on the street. Inside, you'll find a clean, well-preserved interior that perfectly blends luxury with performance. The cockpit surrounds the driver with classic 1980s styling while offering an impressive list of factory equipment that was ahead of its time. Highly desirable factory options include: • Rare Factory Digital Instrument Cluster • 6-Way Power Driver Seat • Cruise Control • Concert Sound Audio System • Power Windows • Power Door Locks • Factory Air Conditioning • Tilt Steering Column • Hardtop Configuration • Legendary Turbocharged & Intercooled 3.8L V6 Engine • Automatic Transmission • Rust-Free Southern Car • Beautiful Black Exterior • Clean, Straight Body • One of the Most Collectible American Performance Cars of the 1980s • And many additional comfort and convenience features Mechanically, this Grand National looks, runs, and drives exceptionally well. The turbo spools quickly, the power delivery is exhilarating, and the car offers the unique combination of luxury, comfort, and blistering performance that only Buick could deliver during the golden era of turbocharged muscle. Whether you're looking to add to a serious collection, relive the glory days of 1980s performance, or simply own one of the most recognizable American muscle cars ever built, this Grand National checks all the boxes. Its rust-free Southern heritage, desirable hardtop body style, rare factory options, outstanding presentation, and legendary performance make it an investment-grade classic that is becoming harder to find every year. The 1987 Buick Grand National was the final and most refined year of production, cementing its place in automotive history as one of the fastest and most feared factory-built cars of its era. Opportunities to own clean, rust-free, highly optioned examples like this continue to become increasingly scarce. If you've been waiting for the right Grand National, this is your chance to own a true American icon that delivers both investment potential and unforgettable driving enjoyment. Past & Present Motor Cars was founded in June of 2018 by Jack and Jeff and began in 2 small warehouses in Ocala and Winter Garden, Florida. After seeing the business have steady growth in the first year and a half in March 2020 we moved our Main Location in Winter Garden to a new location that at the time seemed huge. We were a little nervous to take on this larger building and higher rent but we knew we had to THINK BIG. After getting moved in, that was the start of Covid. Just after getting settled in we put signs on the door saying we were only open by appointment. While it was a tough time in the world it actually was a good time to be in the car business especially the classic car business and we continued to see steady growth. After 2 1/2 years in that location we proceeded to acquire 4 buildings and lease a 5th building. This allowed for the operation we have today with 150+ Classic Cars and a Service Department. We are still doing the same thing we have done everyday since we opened, Great Customer Service, Owners that are Available and Accessible for our customers and very happy to talk cars anytime anywhere. We will never grow too big to be real with anyone! Keeping our commitment to our customers through straightforward business and ALWAYS doing the right thing! We are the same people with the same commitment as the day we opened and our slogan is and remains:
