1986 Jeep CJ7 Custom The CJ series was a named applied to a range of open bodied off-road vehicles and compact trucks built and sold by various incarnations of the Jeep name from 1945 and 1986. They were originally under the Willys-Overland marquee, then Willys Motors, then Kaiser Jeep before Chrysler acquired the brand with their purchase of the American Motors Corporation in 1987. The Jeep name lives on today in primarily the SUV form and despite redesigns throughout the years the original Jeep styling always peaks through. They have become a lifestyle among many with entire clubs dedicated to Jeep enthusiasts and even cultural traditions like the "Jeep Wave" signaling the camaraderie between owners. Even in recent years the popularity continues to grow with the Jeep Ducking trend. This 1986 CJ7 is sure to stand out from the crowd and despite their admiration, other Jeep owners may have a tough time putting a duck in place due to its tall lifted stance. If others don't notice it rolling down the road they must have their eyes closed because it towers over all others and the bright Yellow paint is not to be ignored. It has been nicely customized throughout and is primarily used as a fun weekend cruiser and show vehicle. It has been in the current owners possession for 9 years and all the work was professionally done by Mike's Off Road in Fort Worth who is highly regarded in that industry. Off road touches can be found all over the place with oversized bumpers, side steps, additional lights, tow shackles, and the Warn electric wench. The Mag wheels feature superwinch hubs and 15/38.5-15LT Swamper TSL Bogger tires. Lift up the hood and you will find a new crate 350 Goodwrench GM crate motor. It runs and drives well with no smoking or issues. A lot of engine components like the valve covers are Blacked out and it has a new 4 barrel carburetor topped off with a Edelbrock chrome air cleaner. It sounds great through Hedman headers into custom exhaust. It has been entirely rewired with a Painless Wiring harness and has power disc brakes under all four corners and power steering. The solid front axle is a 10 bolt and in back is a 12 bolt with a Yellow painted differential cover. Inside it has dual aftermarket front racing bucket seats and a single matching seat in the center of the back. These are then fitted with 5 point cam locking Schroth Racing harnesses. It is run as an open bodied Jeep with no doors which allows you to show off the full custom roll cage that has all been coated in bed liner along with the floors. Should you want to take it a step further the Black canvas top is easily removable to give you the full open air experience. On the Yellow dash are all new Pro-Comp gauges (including a tach) and toggle switches for various controls. If you are in the market for a fun classic with a unique style then don't pass this one up. Above all it is being offered up at a very reasonable price that won't break the bank. Join the Jeep crew in this awesome CJ7 for $24,500.00!
