Built on a raised AMC Concord platform, it blended the distinct profile of a 1980s two-door coupe with the rugged capability of a Jeep-derived four-wheel-drive system. Because 1982 was the final model year for the full-sized, two-door Eagle coupe body style due to disappointing sales, surviving 'Deluxe' and 'Limited' coupes are highly sought-after rarities among vintage car collectors today.
