The third generation of Chevrolet's C/K series of trucks (1973-1991) was produced for a remarkable 18 model years; long enough to capture the hearts of an entire generation of enthusiasts. Ironically nicknamed ""square bodies"" by enthusiasts, these pickups were actually called the ""Rounded Line"" by GM because they were the first generation to make use of computers and wind tunnels to reduce aerodynamic drag. This cool 1980 Chevrolet C10 Stepside is a fine example of a mildly customized C10. Mild, however, is not the word to describe the engine. Lift the functional steel cowl hood and you'll see the potent 454 V8 that's been fortified with a Holley carburetor, an aluminum intake manifold, long tube headers, and MSD ignition. Frosting? Check out the vintage Mickey Thompson valve covers. The owner reports that the engine was built to LS6 specs and, WOW!, it sure feels like it.
