24,230 actual miles, original survivor. 2 owners from the same family then I bought this car in 2018 directly from the 2nd owner. He bought it in 1999 from his deceased brother in law that bought it new. I just bought it back from the gentleman we sold it to 7 years ago, he only put 120 miles on it! This is original, original, original. One of the best body, paint and interiors I have ever seen on an unrestored car!
EXTERIOR: Completely original paint and it's remarkably good. There has been absolutely no rust or damage. No bubbles, no door dings. It is completely original paint and it is in excellent condition. You would have to look real hard to find even a tiny flaw. The original bird and decals are very good. Glass is crystal clear. Rubber bumpers and spoilers are not damaged. The jambs are excellent original condition. The weatherstrips and window seals are original, still soft in excellent shape. The 15x8 gold snowflake wheels were added 22 years ago, very sharp looking. The tires are much more recent.
INTERIOR: Amazingly clean interior. It is all original and obviously super well cared for. Not only is the upholstery, door panels, carpet new looking but the details are too. The plastic trim is not faded or beat up. The instrument area is mint. The machine turned bezel is mint, rally gauges look new. Never smoked in, ashtray and lighter are unused. Headliner was replaced with a correct one, they all drooped down. I'm sitting in the car right now and I'm going to say it again- this interior is absolutely immaculate, even the vents, steering wheel, knobs have no wear. This interior could pass for 500 original miles, it's that well cared for. Nothing is cut up, the factory AM-FM stereo is untouched and back in the day they carefully added a vintage cassette deck in a place it could be removed from. Interior lights work, glove box lights up.
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: Completely original, it's never been spray canned or altered. All the vacuum lines, wires, hoses are proper. The shaker hood scoop and air cleaner is complete with proper ductwork. The shaker hood scoop is complete and never drilled or cut. Air conditioning system is complete. The motor is vin # matched to the car.
TRUNK COMPARTMENT: Mint condition. The original space saver spare has never been used, still has ink stamps on tread. The original jack is in mint condition and still mounted in it's original location, the base doesn't even have a mark on it. The metal is pristine, still has original mat. The paint under the lid and on the jamb is mint. Weatherstrip and jacking decal are mint. Original weather strip still has part number on it, trunk light works. The original speakers still have insulated covers.
UNDERSIDE: Original condition. The turbo 350 trans is vin # matched to this car. The posi rear end is #s match. It appears to have the original exhaust with catalytic converter and splitter tips. Completely rock solid original metal. No rot at all, the factory floors, seams, drain holes are all clean. Everything is in proper condition as it left the factory.
I have seen many survivor cars and this is amongst the best preserved I have seen. I believe everything claimed is true, you are more than welcome to come inspect the car in person to see for yourself. Go back to 1979!
