1979 Chevrolet Corvette The C3 Corvette was the 3rd generation of Chevrolet's very popular sports car. It wore the Stingray name and in 1979 broke their sales records with 53,807 being produced. These had the fastback style rear window which was the biggest change introduced in 1978. It is a 1 owner car that was assembled in St Louis, Missouri and purchased new in California before moving to Texas. It wears nice gloss Black paint that was completely redone in 2004. It has a nice finish and the body is all in good condition. The glass is in great shape and all tinted. It isn't a convertible but that won't stop you from feeling the wind in your hair with the nicely painted removable t-tops. It has the cross flag badges on the nose and rear full door. This year featured the flip up lights which open and close properly. All of the lights are working including the double recessed circle taillights in rear. It rides on 15 inch YJ8 aluminum wheels with Corvette center caps and are wrapped in Grand Am Radial G/T tires. Flip forward the hood and you will find the GM Goodwrench 350V8 crate motor that was installed in 2003. There were 107,909 miles on the car at the time so this motor has approximately 4,092 miles on it since then. It runs great and the car has a ton of life in it. It was ordered with factory power disc brakes, power steering, and air conditioning. The stock automatic transmission shifts smoothly with no issues. The rear end is stock as is the independent suspension. Inside the car has its stock Black leather upholstery and is in good condition. It has stock bucket seats that sit to each side of the original console that houses the emergency brake handle, power windows, shifter, and heat/AC controls. Above that is the Toshiba AM/FM/Cassette player which sounds good. The gauges in it are all stock and it has the 140mph speedometer. Behind the seats is a nice carpeted storage area and these also had storage buckets and is where you will find the battery. There is also a strap so you can store away the t-tops when not in use. This smooth running Corvette is in great shape and sure to put a smile on your face. These always get a lot of attention and Corvettes will always be popular collector cars to have. It comes with its original window sticker and receipts for various work that has been done to it. This Vette could be yours for only $22,000.00!
