If you're looking for an old-school cruiser with slick paint, cold A/C, and a thumpin' stereo, all riding on a set of chrome 22's, you definitely need to check out this ride! This '76 Catalina sports a slick coat of deep blue paint that's sure to catch everyone's eye and it's in very good driver-quality condition. All of the original brightwork on the car – bumpers, grille, headlight bezels, side mirrors, door handles, and taillight surrounds have all been covered in the bright blue paint. The lack of brightwork adds extra focus on the 22"" chrome 5-spoke American Racing wheels, all wrapped in Nitto NTSS tires. The window trim, rubber bumper guards, and Catalina badges are all dressed in black, providing a nice accent to the blue body.

Under the big long hood is what we believe to be the original Pontiac 400ci V-8. The V-8 is topped off with blue valve covers, a stock intake, and a 2-barrel carburetor. The 400 block is mated up to a factory 3-speed automatic transmission that sends power to the rear wheels via a 10-bolt rear end with very freeway-friendly gears. You'll also find factory air conditioning that blows nice and cold, plus power steering. Stopping power comes courtesy of power front disc and rear drum brakes. Exhaust travels through cast manifolds and a newer muffler and pipes before emptying just before the rear bumper. Out on the road, this Catalina delivers a very smooth luxurious ride with easy handling – it's really a pleasure to drive. We did note on our test drive that clocking the wheel fully to either side does result in some tire rub on the control arm and sway bar, but that's the price you pay for the cool look of those big wheels.

Swing open the long drivers door and the dome light pops on to reveal a largely original blue interior. The door panels have armrests, faux wood trim, and Memphis speakers, but they are starting to show their age with some wear. The seats are blue vinyl, original to the car, comfortable, and in good condition with some light fading being the only real demerit. The carpet was likely originally blue, but it has been updated with newer black pile carpet in good condition. Overhead you'll find a tight blue vinyl headliner. Ahead of the driver is a wood rimmed Grant GT steering wheel that's affixed to a tilt column with a column shifter for the automatic transmission. The turn signal stalk does double duty with cruise controls (untested). Beyond the wheel is the original blue vinyl dashpad which has unfortunately developed some cracks due to years of sunlight exposure. The dash is designed to wrap around the driver, providing ease of reach for all the instruments. The gauge bezel continues the faux woodgrain look from the door panels and it's home to a 100mph speedometer, a fuel gauge, and warning lights for oil, temp, and gen. The odometer reads 42,748 and those are non-actual miles. To the left are controls for the working 2-speed wipers and the lights (dash lights work, but are dim). To the right are factory controls for the cold A/C, hot heat, and working fan. In the center of the dash is a JVC AM/FM/CD stereo with an aux cable that allows you to input music from another source if desired. The stereo is hooked up to two Kenwood Excelon power amplifiers mounted on the trunk sidewalls and the sound flows through the door speakers as well as three Rockford Fosgate Punch P2 subwoofers in a custom made cabinet in the trunk. There's a $2,605 receipt from 2009 in the glovebox for this stereo system. Also in the glovebox are the original owners/maintenance manuals and an original build sheet for the car. We did note while inside the car that the rear-view mirror needs to be re-affixed to the windshield. Around back in the trunk is the aforementioned stereo equipment, a set of original-looking blue carpeted floormats, and a set of jumper cables.
