The 75' Caprice Convertible is already a very desirable model for its restyled front end, low production, and being the final model year of the convertible, however this particular example is especially rare given the optional 7.4L 454 V8 it has under the hood which was sadly the final year for this engine in GM's car line up!This Caprice was essentially frozen in time and spent most of the last decade in a private collection amongst other low mile original cars. Finished in the factory Red(72L) over a White vinyl interior(W11) accented by a White Convertible top(11R). The power moves through the original drivetrain and spins the 15 wire-style wheels that have been mounted with new whitewall radial tires! Assisting this Convertible Cruiser is power steering and power front disc brakes! Some additional factory features Include: Comfortron Heat/Air Conditioning!! Power Windows, Power Locks, Power Seat, Power Top, Cruise Control, Tilt Column, Vanity Mirror, Side skirts, Dual Remote "Sport" Mirrors, Econometer, Analog Clock, and an AM/FM Radio with an integrated eight-track player and rear Speaker! Everything but the kitchen sink!The interior of this Chevrolet is just as well preserved as the exterior! Inside you will be greeted by the original split back bench seat in excellent condition! On the comfort tilt column we have the original 2-spoke steering wheel framing the stock gauges also in brilliant condition. AM/FM/8-Track Radio, Heater/ AC controls, ashtrays and seat belts! Under the hood you'll find a freshly serviced 4bbl 454c.i. recently fitted with new correct hoses, distributor cap, rotor, spark plugs, plug wires, and a/c compressor. The original pieces come with and show well but were replaced in preparation for the car to be enjoyed! Air blows cold and was converted to R134 refrigerant. The underside of this Caprice is everything we anticipate from a well cared for 8,900 mile car! Just prior to the passing of the matriarch of LaFontaine Automotive Group, Maureen LaFontaine, the building in downtown Milford became available and it was the ideal location to launch LaFontaine Classic Cars. The attention to detail and automotive nostalgia throughout is a tribute to Maureen and her everlasting legacy.
The showroom aims to bring buyers back in time to a more classic feel. In addition to all the vehicles in the showroom, the space is decorated with vintage signs from vehicle brands of the past. Not only are there vehicles in the building, but the parking lot to the south contains many others available for purchase.
Michael Sr. commented, “This area is prefect for us as we have a lot of roots in Milford and absolutely love this quaint downtown. We look forward to welcoming fellow automotive enthusiasts through our showroom doors and they can expect to receive the same Family Deal feeling people have come to expect at any of our other dealerships. LaFontaine Classic Cars acquires vehicles several ways, with a majority of them coming through auction and Michael Sr.’s personal collection.
