This 1974 White Freightliner is a short-haul single-drive tractor of cab-over-engine design that is powered by a 568ci Detroit Diesel two-stroke V8 paired with an Eaton 13-speed manual transmission. It was acquired by the seller in 2021, and a subsequent refurbishment performed at Cornerstone Classic Semis of Tremont, Illinois, was completed in 2024 at a cost of over $45k. Work included the fabrication of a dual exhaust system and a reinforced front tow pin as well as the installation of a sidestep/battery box assembly, a drop visor, fender flares, and aluminum deck plates with a gooseneck hitch. Additionally, the shifter valve and knob were updated, the shocks were replaced, and LED lights, a seven-wire taillight cable and junction box, and an electric-over-air brake controller were installed. The manually tilting cab is finished in silver with gray, blue, and black accents over brown upholstery, and the truck is further equipped with an updated steer axle assembly, leaf-spring and air ride suspension, 24.5″ polished alloy wheels, and a polished aluminum grille and fuel tanks.
