HERE IS A RARE 1972 OPEL 1900 SPORT COUPE...COMMONLY CALLED A MANTA...THEY OFFICIALLY WERE NOT CALLED A MANTA IN THE US TILL 1973...PREVIOUS OWNER HAD IT 28 YEARS...NEVER GOT AROUND TO RESTORING ...THE BODY IS PRETTY NICE...FEW DINGS HERE AND THERE....HARDLY ANY RUST....THIS WAS A VINYL TOP CAR..IT DISINTEGRATED..THE TOP IS SOLID EXCEPT FOR THE DRIVERS REAR OF THE TOP THERE IS A RUST HOLE THAT NEEDS REPAIR...THE BRIGHT WORK IS NICE. THE ORIGINAL RALLY WHEELS ARE IN GOOD SHAPE...NEW TIRES WERE JUST PUT ON. THE INTERIOR IS FAIR...THE SEATS ARE GOOD...THE DOOR PANELS AND HEADLINER NEED REPLACED..CARPET IS PRETTY GOOD...DASH IS INTACT...ONE CRACK..ORIGINAL RADIO IN PLACE...THIS IS A FACTORY AIR CAR....UNIT IS IN PLACE...UNDER HOOD IS THE ORIGINAL 1900 ENGINE....IT CURRENTLY RUNS OFF STARTING FLUID.....GAS TANK NEEDS CLEANED OUT...AIR CONDITIONER COMPRESSOR IS INTACT. TRUNK IS SOLID....UNDERCARRIAGE IS GOOD....DOES NOT NEED PASSENGER OR TRUNK FLOORS...THIS IS A GOOD RESTORATION PIECE FOR SOMEONE THAT WANTS SOMETHING DIFFERENT.....
