The International Harvester Scout was a rugged SUV produced from 1960 to 1980 which predated such off-road icons as the Ford Bronco and the Chevrolet Blazer. Although Scouts were produced in far greater numbers than the Bronco, their agricultural roots emphasized simplicity and functionality over comfort and were therefore used differently. This cool 1970 International Harvester Scout is a great example of these utilitarian overachievers. Lift the hood and you'll find the 304 V8, a rugged mill that provides plenty of torque for the excellent 4-wheel drive system.
