The 1970 Chevrolet Corvette marked the beginning of a new decade for America\'s Sports Car and is widely regarded as one of the most desirable years of the legendary C3 generation. Featuring aggressive styling, chrome bumpers front and rear, and a refined driving experience, the 1970 Corvette remains a favorite among enthusiasts seeking classic looks with strong road manners.Offered here is a driver-quality 1970 Corvette Coupe equipped with removable T-Tops, power steering, power brakes, automatic transmission, and what is believed to be its original 350 cubic-inch, 300 horsepower V8 engine. Finished in Red Metallic over a black leather bucket-seat interior, this Corvette has benefited from extensive recent mechanical servicing and is now a strong-running, dependable cruiser that can be enjoyed immediately while cosmetic improvements are completed over time.The black leather bucket seats remain in very good condition with no rips or tears, while the factory Rally wheels are mounted with brand-new Mickey Thompson Sportsman S/T raised white-letter tires, giving the car an aggressive period-correct appearance.Over the past year, the Corvette has undergone substantial mechanical refurbishment including:New radiator, water pump, fuel pump, and thermostat,Carburetor cleaned and rebuilt,Fuel system flushed and heat shielding installed,Complete transmission service with new gaskets, filter, hoses, and cooler lines,Power steering pump, control valve, and hoses replaced,Complete brake service including front and rear calipers, pads, and brake hoses,New PCV system components,New spark plugs, wires, and wire looms,Front wheel hubs and rotors replaced,Ignition system components replaced,Rear suspension rebuilt,Front-end alignment and caster adjustment performed,Fender clearance modified,Headlight bulbs, tail lamps, and reverse lamps replaced,Coolant and pressure gauges repaired,Wiper switch and actuator boot repaired,Aftermarket fiberglass hood fitted and adjusted,Hood prop and hood release cable replacedHorn and emergency brake repaired andTires mounted and balanced. As a result of this extensive work, the car starts, runs, drives, and stops very well and is considered mechanically sound. Cosmetically, the Corvette remains a work in progress. The current aftermarket fiberglass hood with scoop does not match the body finish, although the original factory hood is included with the sale and can be repaired and refinished if desired. The paint presents well from a distance but shows imperfections consistent with a driver-quality vehicle. Side marker lenses are missing as shown and will need replacement.Additional items needing attention include:-Tachometer inoperative- Radio inoperative.Included with the sale are the Original factory hood, Full-size Mickey Thompson spare tire with Brand-new tire carrier (not yet installed) and Car cover.This Corvette represents an great opportunity to acquire a mini-project, chrome-bumper C3 that has already received thousands of dollars in recent mechanical work.
