Fresh from an extensive frame-on restoration, this Chevelle combines highly desirable factory specifications, outstanding attention to detail, and exceptional originality into one unforgettable muscle car. Finished in its correct Color Code 45 Mist Green, this Chevelle presents beautifully with outstanding fit and finish throughout. The paint alone represents nearly a $30,000 investment and showcases the straight, rust-free body exceptionally well. Believed to retain all of its original sheet metal, this Arizona-found car exhibits the kind of solid foundation that serious collectors and enthusiasts appreciate. Under the hood sits the correct CTX-code 396 Big Block V8 engine, believed to be the original engine to the car and retaining the VIN stamp by the oil filter. The engine has just been rebuilt and has accumulated virtually no miles since completion. Power is delivered through the original Muncie M21 4-speed manual transmission, which was also recently rebuilt, and backed by a CW code 12-bolt rear axle equipped with 3.31 gears. The engine compartment has been restored to an exceptionally high standard and showcases the legendary Chevrolet big-block powerplant exactly as enthusiasts want to see it. The functional factory cowl induction hood adds both performance heritage and unmistakable muscle car presence. Inside, the car features a stunning new Ivory bucket seat interior with center console, factory tachometer, gauges, and all the details that made the 1970 SS one of the most desirable muscle cars of its era. The contrast between the Mist Green exterior and Ivory interior is stunning as well as the white racing stripes gives this Chevelle a stunning appearance. One of the most unusual and desirable features of this car is its factory air conditioning. Finding a genuine 1970 Chevelle SS equipped with both factory air conditioning and a Muncie 4-speed transmission is exceptionally uncommon, making this example particularly special. Air conditioning operation has not been verified. Past & Present Motor Cars was founded in June of 2018 by Jack and Jeff and began in 2 small warehouses in Ocala and Winter Garden, Florida. After seeing the business have steady growth in the first year and a half in March 2020 we moved our Main Location in Winter Garden to a new location that at the time seemed huge. We were a little nervous to take on this larger building and higher rent but we knew we had to THINK BIG. After getting moved in, that was the start of Covid. Just after getting settled in we put signs on the door saying we were only open by appointment. While it was a tough time in the world it actually was a good time to be in the car business especially the classic car business and we continued to see steady growth. After 2 1/2 years in that location we proceeded to acquire 4 buildings and lease a 5th building. This allowed for the operation we have today with 150+ Classic Cars and a Service Department. We are still doing the same thing we have done everyday since we opened, Great Customer Service, Owners that are Available and Accessible for our customers and very happy to talk cars anytime anywhere. We will never grow too big to be real with anyone! Keeping our commitment to our customers through straightforward business and ALWAYS doing the right thing! We are the same people with the same commitment as the day we opened and our slogan is and remains:
