1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS LS6 Tribute This 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS LS6 Tribute is a show-quality example of one of the most iconic muscle cars ever built. Finished in its correct Code 19 Tuxedo Black, this Chevelle has been meticulously restored to LS6 specifications from the ground up and presents in near-flawless condition throughout. Under the hood sits a 454 cubic inch Big Block (512 casting) engine built to LS6 specs, complete with a restoration restamp matching the car’s VIN. While the original factory configuration is unknown, every component has been selected and finished to authentically represent the legendary 450-horsepower LS6 setup that defined 1970 as the peak of the muscle car era. Power is delivered through a Turbo 400 automatic transmission paired with a 12-bolt rear end, ensuring the car performs with the same brute strength and confidence as the original LS6s. The functional cowl induction hood, tach and gauge package, and sport steering wheel complete the true SS experience inside and out. The fresh frame-off restoration shows extraordinary attention to detail, with only 28 miles since completion. The Tuxedo Black exterior is deep and mirror-gloss, accented by correct Super Sport stripes, bucket seats, center console with horseshoe shifter, and period-correct 14-inch SS wheels wrapped in Firestone Wide Oval tires. Every nut and bolt reflects professional craftsmanship and respect for authenticity. This Chevelle is an outstanding tribute to the legendary LS6, offering collectors and enthusiasts a chance to experience the look, sound, and feel of Chevrolet’s top-dog muscle car—without the six-figure price tag of a documented original. Past & Present Motor Cars was founded in June of 2018 by Jack and Jeff and began in 2 small warehouses in Ocala and Winter Garden, Florida. After seeing the business have steady growth in the first year and a half in March 2020 we moved our Main Location in Winter Garden to a new location that at the time seemed huge. We were a little nervous to take on this larger building and higher rent but we knew we had to THINK BIG. After getting moved in, that was the start of Covid. Just after getting settled in we put signs on the door saying we were only open by appointment. While it was a tough time in the world it actually was a good time to be in the car business especially the classic car business and we continued to see steady growth. After 2 1/2 years in that location we proceeded to acquire 4 buildings and lease a 5th building. This allowed for the operation we have today with 150+ Classic Cars and a Service Department. We are still doing the same thing we have done everyday since we opened, Great Customer Service, Owners that are Available and Accessible for our customers and very happy to talk cars anytime anywhere. We will never grow too big to be real with anyone! Keeping our commitment to our customers through straightforward business and ALWAYS doing the right thing! We are the same people with the same commitment as the day we opened and our slogan is and remains:
