As a result, the vehicle is in excellent, near-showroom condition throughout. This example stands out for its rare and desirable factory setup: the combination of the LS5 454ci big-block, convertible body style, four-speed manual transmission, and factory air conditioning is rarely found together, making this an especially notable example for collectors. Adding to its appeal, the car was factory-optioned with power steering, power brakes, and power windows — a combination rarely seen on a big block four-speed convertible. It should be noted that the only change from the vehicle's original factory specification is its top color and addition of Red Line radial tires: this Chevelle was originally delivered from the factory with a white convertible top, now finished in black. Every other part of the car remains correct to its original factory setup. Finished in its desirable factory-correct Cortez Silver with black racing stripes, the exterior paint is in outstanding, near-new condition, reflecting the collectibility of this vehicle. The black power-operated soft top, cowl induction hood, SS badging, and chrome bumpers and mirrors all add to the car's striking factory-correct look. Carburetion has been converted to fuel injection, and the addition of an aluminum radiator with two electrical fans to optimize usability. The car has had only minor servicing during its time in the collection and runs extremely well, thanks to its low mileage and careful care since restoration. The vehicle comes with its original Window Sticker, further confirming this Chevelle's desirable specification.
