1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS Tribute, Astro Blue, Muncie 4-Speed, 12-Bolt Posi Few cars represent the golden era of American muscle quite like the 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle. With its aggressive body lines, unmistakable stance, and legendary road presence, the 1970 Chevelle remains one of the most desirable designs Chevrolet ever produced. This example delivers all of that classic muscle-car appeal in a package that is meant to be driven and enjoyed. This Chevelle is equipped and presented in Super Sport style; however, we do not have documentation confirming that it left the factory as an original SS. For that reason, it is being properly represented and sold as a Chevrolet Chevelle SS Tribute. Finished in fresh Astro Blue paint, this Chevelle makes a strong first impression. The color is absolutely fitting for the body style and does an excellent job of showcasing the sculpted quarters, muscular fenders, and iconic 1970 front end. The paint has a bright shine and presents very well, giving the car the kind of curb appeal that gets attention wherever it goes. Inside is a clean black bucket seat interior with center console, creating the classic muscle-car cockpit that enthusiasts want. The black interior looks excellent against the Astro Blue exterior and gives the car a timeless appearance. Slide behind the wheel, grab the shifter, and the entire car has the look and feel of a proper old-school Chevelle. One of the biggest highlights is the older Muncie 4-speed manual transmission. There is simply something special about driving a big-bodied classic Chevrolet with a four-speed, and this car delivers the engaging, mechanical driving experience that made muscle cars so much fun in the first place. Backing up the drivetrain is a desirable 12-bolt Posi-Traction rear end, another excellent feature that adds to the overall muscle-car character of the car. The Chevelle has received a frame-on cosmetic restoration and presents as a very attractive driver-quality example. This is not a trailer queen that you have to be afraid to take out of the garage. It is the type of classic you can actually enjoy take it to a local cruise-in, drive it to a car show, head out for dinner on a Saturday night, or simply enjoy rowing through the gears on a Sunday afternoon. Completing the traditional muscle-car appearance are 14-inch SS-style wheels wrapped in BFGoodrich Radial T/A raised white-letter tires. The combination gives the car the proper period-inspired stance and finishes off the exterior exactly the way a classic Chevelle should look. The car runs and drives well and offers the kind of raw, straightforward driving experience that makes these cars so enjoyable. With Astro Blue paint, black bucket seats, a Muncie 4-speed, 12-bolt Posi rear end, and classic SS styling, this Chevelle checks many of the boxes enthusiasts are looking for. If you want a beautiful 1970 Chevelle that has the right appearance, the right equipment, and can actually be driven and enjoyed without the concerns that come with owning an over-restored show car, this SS Tribute deserves a serious look. Past & Present Motor Cars was founded in June of 2018 by Jack and Jeff and began in 2 small warehouses in Ocala and Winter Garden, Florida. After seeing the business have steady growth in the first year and a half in March 2020 we moved our Main Location in Winter Garden to a new location that at the time seemed huge. We were a little nervous to take on this larger building and higher rent but we knew we had to THINK BIG. After getting moved in, that was the start of Covid. Just after getting settled in we put signs on the door saying we were only open by appointment. While it was a tough time in the world it actually was a good time to be in the car business especially the classic car business and we continued to see steady growth. After 2 1/2 years in that location we proceeded to acquire 4 buildings and lease a 5th building. This allowed for the operation we have today with 150+ Classic Cars and a Service Department. We are still doing the same thing we have done everyday since we opened, Great Customer Service, Owners that are Available and Accessible for our customers and very happy to talk cars anytime anywhere. We will never grow too big to be real with anyone! Keeping our commitment to our customers through straightforward business and ALWAYS doing the right thing! We are the same people with the same commitment as the day we opened and our slogan is and remains:
