1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS 454 5-Speed454 Big Block V8 Tremec TKX 5-Speed Documented Build Sheet Big Block Muscle
No Reserve Classics is proud to present this stunning 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS 454, a true American muscle icon that perfectly combines classic muscle car attitude, exceptional craftsmanship, and modern drivability enhancements. Backed by an extensive build sheet documenting tens of thousands invested in restoration and upgrades, this Chevelle was engineered to deliver brutal big-block torque while maintaining effortless long-distance cruising capabilities. Finished in highly desirable, factory-correct Fathom Blue over a beautifully restored interior, this Chevelle captures everything enthusiasts demand from the golden era of muscle: an aggressive stance, unmistakable SS styling, and the unmistakable sound of American V8 power.
Power comes from a legendary Chevrolet 454 Big Block V8 engine delivering exhilarating performance and the massive torque expected from one of GM's most feared classic platforms. The powerplant is paired with a modern Tremec TKX 5-speed manual transmission upgrade, putting complete control in the driver's hands while drastically improving highway cruising and overall enjoyment versus a traditional factory gearbox.
Beneath the body sits a highly upgraded chassis featuring restored steering components, enhanced suspension items, a shortened/balanced driveshaft, and a power brake booster upgrade to provide outstanding stopping and handling capability. The aggressive exterior features the iconic 1970 Chevelle body lines, classic SS styling cues, new replacement glass items, and a meticulously detailed engine bay and underside. Every component was carefully chosen to preserve the car's aggressive presence while preparing it for dependable modern road manners.
Inside, the restored interior is equally impressive, featuring refurbished seating components, upgraded carpet, new insulation, a Hurst shifter assembly, Vintage Air climate control, and a Bluetooth-converted factory-style radio with updated speakers.According to accompanying documentation, over $44,000 was invested into this build, including drivetrain upgrades, body and paint work, interior restoration, cooling, braking, electrical, and comfort enhancements. While the VIN identifies this example as a V8 Malibu Sport Coupe (13637)-making it a consistent factory SS candidate for 1970 when properly optioned-this example presents as an exceptionally well-sorted, highly desirable SS-style 454 build. Opportunities to own a turn-key Chevelle with this level of documented investment, Tremec 5-speed drivability, and Vintage Air comfort are increasingly rare. Available now from No Reserve Classics.
As always, we recommend an independent pre-purchase inspection and verifying drivetrain stampings for matching authenticity. Contact our team today for financing options, transportation assistance, or a live video walkaround.

At the age of 18, Joe purchased his first classic car – a 1972 Chevelle SS454 WVIN – and was bit by the bug ever since. He continued buying classic cars and found the rush of purchasing, restoring and driving these symbolic machines of American heritage very addictive. After realizing that his parent’s garage was not big enough to hold them all, he then started to rent a small warehouse. His girlfriend at the time, now his lovely wife, sat him down one day and told him that he had an issue. He was also advised to, moving forward, sell a car before he could buy another one. At that point, through many walks of life, he realized that there are plenty of other people just like him who enjoy owning and driving a piece of American history.
In 2010, he realized that he could quench his desire to drive as many American classics as he desired, as long as he could make room for them, so he ramped up car purchases. You can say it is no coincidence that the founder/owner of No Reserve Classics is named Joe, since he sells American classics that the “average Joe” can afford…but don’t get it twisted, there is nothing average about him or No Reserve Classics.
We enjoy what we do so much that the bottom dollar does not affect our decision making.
We choose to satisfy our passion for restoring classic cars by simply selling them to restore more American muscle.
— Joseph Hanna, Founder/Owner
Typically when you see classic cars, they’re either at car shows or have been sitting in the owner’s garage for quite some time not getting the attention they need. We take those cars and truly bring them back to life by fulfilling light restoration work and getting them to a so-called “turn-key” standpoint where you can hop in and reliably drive them every day.

When a vehicle is auctioned off, they all start at $0.01 and go to the highest bidder at the end of seven days…period. No Reserve Classics is an unprecedented and one of a kind online-based auction company that lets the market decide what our investment classic cars are worth. We are NOT run by used car salesmen and we are ALL passionate collectors who have years of experience owning and working on classic cars. We aim to make buying and selling your dream car as simple and as gratifying as possible.
Have you found the perfect collector vehicle on All Collector Cars? Before you make any decisions, we recommend that you take some time now to read the full description and review all the pictures with the listing. It’s important to do as much due diligence as you can before you contact the seller so that you’re prepared to ask about any flaws you see—and perhaps ones you don’t.
All Collector Cars allows our sellers to post unlimited vehicle pictures and descriptions, which gives you, the buyer, more control and information. In addition, our Buyers Resource section offers advice and vendor recommendations to guide you through the buying process, from classic car financing & insurance to collector vehicle shipping & restoration.
