Survivor 1969 Shelby GT500
The car wears what appears to be mostly its original Competition Red paint. There are some indications that the lower portions of the car below the side stripe were repainted many years ago. Unknown as to why. There are paint flaws here and there, but overall the car retains its factory appeal.
Factory original Shelby Wheels wrapped in 1970s BF Goodrich Radial T/A tires.
Inside, the interior is immaculate for its age. Almost no signs of wear at all. Very well kept, in a climate controlled environment its entire life. Gauges, lights, accessories and even the original clock still works!
The trunk floors and original equipment are excellent. Original Space Saver Spare with inflator still present.
The heart of the beast is a strong running, original 428 Cobra Jet engine. The carburetor was just rebuilt and it idles smooth. Very original under the hood. It is believed that the driveline components have never been out of the car.
This car has not been regularly driven since the early 1970s and has been maintained and kept in a private collection, driven enough to keep it running and on the road, but not more than that. There is a document packet included with historical docs, as well as receipts dating back to the 1970s.
