This Mustang retains its original sheet metal and was the recipient of a mechanical and cosmetic rejuvenation in 2015. At this time the Acapulco blue paint was expertly applied and the trim/chrome was either replaced or restored. Looking inside, the interior is in great restored condition. The upholstery throughout has been replaced and shows very well. The car retains its factory instruments which are in impressive condition given their age. The factory tach and gauges function, the original AM/FM radio and heater controls operate as well! Under the hood boasts the beautifully dressed 428CJ that features a Holley 4bbl, Cobra Finned Valve covers and the factory equipped Ram Air Shaker hood! A new reproduction radiator, hoses, clamps, cooling fan and fan clutch. Adding to the drivability are factory disc brakes, factory power steering, and BFG Raised White Letter Radial tires (2025 Date codes)The underside of this car shows very well! The floor pan is straight and clean! Looking around further you begin to gather this car was cared for the right way. Signs of all the regular consumables having been recently replaced, Newer H-pipe Exhaust with flow master mufflers, replacement fuel tank, larger capacity trans pan with cooling fins. The 9inch rear end out back spins a 3.50 gear while the car rolls on a squeaky clean set of Mag 500 wheels!Overall this is a great example of a well-maintained restored example with impressive factory equipment and wonderful street manners! Included with the sale is the Deluxe Marti Report, Original OwnersCard, Buck Tag, Door Tag, a full size spare, ownership history from new, 2 sets of keys, and a cover! Just prior to the passing of the matriarch of LaFontaine Automotive Group, Maureen LaFontaine, the building in downtown Milford became available and it was the ideal location to launch LaFontaine Classic Cars. The attention to detail and automotive nostalgia throughout is a tribute to Maureen and her everlasting legacy.
The showroom aims to bring buyers back in time to a more classic feel. In addition to all the vehicles in the showroom, the space is decorated with vintage signs from vehicle brands of the past. Not only are there vehicles in the building, but the parking lot to the south contains many others available for purchase.
Michael Sr. commented, “This area is prefect for us as we have a lot of roots in Milford and absolutely love this quaint downtown. We look forward to welcoming fellow automotive enthusiasts through our showroom doors and they can expect to receive the same Family Deal feeling people have come to expect at any of our other dealerships. LaFontaine Classic Cars acquires vehicles several ways, with a majority of them coming through auction and Michael Sr.’s personal collection.
