Racking up just 40k miles from 1969-1987 before it was parked in the garage for the next 31 years! The car saw day light for the first time again thanks to the prior owner in 2018! LaFontaine Classic Cars sourced this vehicle from that kind enthusiast just earlier this year! Shortly after he had blown the dust off, the car was professionally prepared for road use early on during his 8 year ownership! The car still retains its original paint, body, floor pan, interior, and drivetrain! The paint shows great earned and authentic character such as chips, scratches, and dings . This car has many impressive attributes and has been well preserved throughout its life! Reconditioning highlights included all new hoses, clamps, covers, cleaners, etc. Additionally a new Radiator was installed along with a new water pump, thermostat, holley carburetor, fuel pump, fuel tank, sending unit, fuel lines, brakes, brake lines,and more. Ignition system was replaced with all new as well. Distributor, Coil, Plugs, Wires, and more. The old restrictive exhaust was replaced with a set of headers which mate up to the new Pypes Stainless Steel exhaust which features an x-pipe and mufflers which give this Windsor the perfect note! New factory style wheels and BFgoodrich Radial T/A tires were also installed and the car now rolls as a strong dependable driver Inside, the factory Black interior is very much original and undisturbed! The original rim blow steering wheel houses the factory deluxe gauges, accompanied by a remote driver mirror, factory deluxe seat belts, and the full center console! The factory in dash clock and Philco radio are still present as well! Out back the original Rear end spins 3.00 gears allowing this car to cruise comfortably at higher speeds just as it was ordered new! Notably this car still retains its original dash displayed vin tag, door tag, and Build Sheet! Just prior to the passing of the matriarch of LaFontaine Automotive Group, Maureen LaFontaine, the building in downtown Milford became available and it was the ideal location to launch LaFontaine Classic Cars. The attention to detail and automotive nostalgia throughout is a tribute to Maureen and her everlasting legacy.
The showroom aims to bring buyers back in time to a more classic feel. In addition to all the vehicles in the showroom, the space is decorated with vintage signs from vehicle brands of the past. Not only are there vehicles in the building, but the parking lot to the south contains many others available for purchase.
Michael Sr. commented, “This area is prefect for us as we have a lot of roots in Milford and absolutely love this quaint downtown. We look forward to welcoming fellow automotive enthusiasts through our showroom doors and they can expect to receive the same Family Deal feeling people have come to expect at any of our other dealerships. LaFontaine Classic Cars acquires vehicles several ways, with a majority of them coming through auction and Michael Sr.’s personal collection.
