The original trim and bright work show well for their age and still have a wonderful luster! Power comes from the date correct 440c.i. V8 paired with an A833 4-Speed which sends power through a Heavy Duty Dana axle housing spinning the factory 3.54 rear gear! Completing the muscle car look are the iconic Hideaway headlights, R/T Badging, Pit-stop gas cap, and the new 15in Mag wheels wrapped in raised white Letter BFG's!Looking inside you'll find a very original black interior with bucket seats and a floor shifted 4-speed! On the dash are the stock gauges in great condition, stock 3-spoke steering wheel framing the 150mph Speedo, the famous Tic-Tok Tach, Factory AM radio with 8-Track Player, Heater controls, Rear Defogger, and optional power windows! The date correct seat belts are still present front and back. Under the hood we are looking at a freshly serviced 4bbl 440c.i. engine fitted with factory Intake, carter carb, and exhaust manifolds! The Underside still wears its factory undercoat and is free of rust or panel replacement, it shows all the signs of a well cared. This is now a two owner car that spent life in Alabama and still retains its original body numbered sheet metal!! The paint was refinished in the early 80's and shows well from a few feet away but does have minor imperfections. The engine pulls strong and is said to have been rebuilt in recent years. This car has many impressive attributes and has been undeniably well cared for throughout its life. Just prior to the passing of the matriarch of LaFontaine Automotive Group, Maureen LaFontaine, the building in downtown Milford became available and it was the ideal location to launch LaFontaine Classic Cars. The attention to detail and automotive nostalgia throughout is a tribute to Maureen and her everlasting legacy.
The showroom aims to bring buyers back in time to a more classic feel. In addition to all the vehicles in the showroom, the space is decorated with vintage signs from vehicle brands of the past. Not only are there vehicles in the building, but the parking lot to the south contains many others available for purchase.
Michael Sr. commented, “This area is prefect for us as we have a lot of roots in Milford and absolutely love this quaint downtown. We look forward to welcoming fellow automotive enthusiasts through our showroom doors and they can expect to receive the same Family Deal feeling people have come to expect at any of our other dealerships. LaFontaine Classic Cars acquires vehicles several ways, with a majority of them coming through auction and Michael Sr.’s personal collection.
