Stroker | 5-Speed Tremec | 9in Rear End | Power Disc Brakes | Power Steering | Factory Tuxedo Black | Dyno Proven 650HP 690TQ !This sinister 1969 Chevelle SS is finished in Tuxedo black over a Black Bucket seat interior, the car sits just right on 15-inch Magnum 500 wheels and, more importantly, it drives exceptionally well. Extensive receipts and documentation accompany the car, including supporting documentation for its high-performance drivetrain.At the heart of the Chevelle is a Pat Musi-built 555ci big-block, backed by receipts and built around a Dart Big M block. Internals include a Manley 4340 4.25-inch stroke crankshaft, Manley 4340 connecting rods, Manley Platinum Series pistons, plasma-moly rings, Clevite bearings, and a COMP Cams hydraulic roller camshaft. Up top are AFR 305 cylinder heads, an Edelbrock RPM intake, and a Gary Williams 950 CFM carburetor, while a March Performance serpentine system completes the package.Putting that big-block power to the pavement is a Tremec TKO 600 5-speed manual transmission paired with an RST clutch and new 3-inch driveshaft. A Ford 9" with a 4.10 posi was chosen to handle the almost 700ft lbs of torque. The combination gives the car wonderful street manners. Its happy to go for a calm cruise, drop the pedal and its ready to be a heavy hitting big-block muscle car! The overdrive fifth gear makes it enjoyable out on the highway.Stopping power comes from factory power front disc brakes and rear Wilwood disc brakes. Its lowered stance is finished off with 15-inch Magnum 500 wheels, wearing 225/50R15 BFGoodrich Radial T/A tires up front and wide 275/60R15 Nitto NT555R rubber out back.Big-block power, three pedals, the right color and the right stance! Just prior to the passing of the matriarch of LaFontaine Automotive Group, Maureen LaFontaine, the building in downtown Milford became available and it was the ideal location to launch LaFontaine Classic Cars. The attention to detail and automotive nostalgia throughout is a tribute to Maureen and her everlasting legacy.
The showroom aims to bring buyers back in time to a more classic feel. In addition to all the vehicles in the showroom, the space is decorated with vintage signs from vehicle brands of the past. Not only are there vehicles in the building, but the parking lot to the south contains many others available for purchase.
Michael Sr. commented, “This area is prefect for us as we have a lot of roots in Milford and absolutely love this quaint downtown. We look forward to welcoming fellow automotive enthusiasts through our showroom doors and they can expect to receive the same Family Deal feeling people have come to expect at any of our other dealerships. LaFontaine Classic Cars acquires vehicles several ways, with a majority of them coming through auction and Michael Sr.’s personal collection.
