Inside, we find a nicely redone black vinyl interior. A center console separates dual bucket seats, while a power-assisted, two-spoke wheel proudly displays the iconic SS logo. A three-pod gauge cluster features a big 160 mph speedometer and 8,000 rpm tachometer, while an upgraded HVAC system makes temperature control even easier than before. With its trick red Chevrolet-embossed valve covers and composite intake manifold, this big block does away with spent gases through a set of long-tube headers and dual exhaust, capped off with a pair of sweet-sounding aftermarket mufflers, giving this Chevelle its muscle-car rumble. That power is routed through a tried-and-true Tremec five-speed manual transmission before heading out to the 12-bolt rear end, which transfers those ponies to the pavement via a set of 20-inch ten-spoke U.S. Mags wheels shod in 255/40ZR-120 Cooper Cobra rubber. Up front, a staggered set of 18-inch wheels wrapped in 215/45ZR-18 rubber handles steering duties with aplomb.
