Complete frame off restoration that took just over 11.5 years to complete and was finished on May 27, 2022. During that time, frame was completely stripped down, primered and painted champagne. It was then put back together using hand polished stainless steel hardware including grade 8 where the sizes could be found. The sheet metal was all massaged to get it as straight as possible and then sprayed with all House of Kolor paints. All of the body work that was done includes at least 37 different body modifications including vents with a chrome fin on the sides of the hood, extended front bumper side panels to the wheel openings, a grill center bar that includes the turn signals with flush lenses, and shaved drip rails. Modifications were also made inside the cab with an all new designed dash and center console made entirely of metal with wood inserts. Also in the dash are Dakota electric gauges that include a tachometer built into the speedo and integrated turn signal indicators. There is also a double din Pioneer head unit that is blue tooth compatible and is connected to 8 speakers that are powered by 2 amplifiers. The Billet Specialties steering wheel is connected to an Ididit tilt column that is painted to match the interior. The wood inserts on the dash, console and door arm rests are red oak and match the bed wood which was stained with kandy red paint and then had 12 coats of clear urethane sprayed on them. They were then sanded and buffed to a high shine. The windows are electric as is the e brake which is located on the dash just left of the steering column. There are 4 a/c vents in the dash but only three function and the forth was installed for symmetry. The a/c system has not bee charged since the truck has been completed. The doors are opened from inside by pressing down on the lock buttons and from outside with 2 fobs that come with the truck.
When I purchased the truck 13 years ago, I was told that the engine had been rebuilt approximately 20,000 miles before. Since then, I had only driven the truck the 2 years before I started the rebuild so I would say there is approximately 24,000 miles on the engine. The 700r4 transmission was just recently rebuilt before the truck was finished and I have only put 38 miles on it since. The engine has 10.5:1 compression, small cam and gear drive. On top of the air gap intake sits a 600 CFM Holley carburetor and a new distributor. In front of the engine sits a new Champion aluminum radiator with 2-14" electric fans mounted to an aluminum fan shroud. The truck has the right stance due to being lowered 6" in the front and 5" in the back with Chassis Tech lowered springs and spindals. It stops great because of disc brakes being installed on the front with drilled and slotted rotors and drums in the back. The only defect that I am aware of is a spot on the rear of the cab, just below the window. While I was spraying the Kandy red, a bug landed on the red and in my attempt to remove it, I took some of the red with it. I used my airbrush to touch it up and made the red a little too dark. I know it's there but no one else have seems to have noticed it. Items that will be included with the truck when it sell are a custom fit California Car cover, a complete photo album of the build, a complete list of all items purchased and the prices, for the truck and an appraisal book complete with pictures, information on the truck and determination of value by Auto Appraisal Network. Their appraised value of this truck is $157,500. I am very proud of the truck I have built and the fact that I only needed help in having the interior and wiring professionally done. Everything else was me and the helpful ideas I got from watching shows like "Bitchin Rides" and "Iron Resurrection". But now it is time for this truck to go to a new owner who can enjoy how nice this truck drives down the road. And if anyone was wondering why I'm letting it go (seems like most everyone actually), I have a daughter in medical school and I still need to pay for her last year. So, if you buy it, you will be helping to save lives. I hope you all like what I have built and thank you for looking.
