This 1968 Chevrolet wagon is about as unique as they come. Originally a 4-door like every Chevy wagon built after 1960, it has been converted into a 2-door and has the perfect rat rod look without being overdone. It's finished in matte black with red pin striping and sits on a staggered set of black and red JEGS wheels with 235/40R17s up front and 265/35R20s out back. The early Corvette-style side pipes, aggressive stance, and custom details get attention everywhere it goes. Inside, the entire interior was built around the same red and black theme with custom bucket seats, a tilt column, 3-spoke steering wheel, a one-off tube steel dash and center console, JEGS gauges, B&M gated shifter, push-button start (key still required), and rear airbags with the compressor controlled by a dash switch. It also has working under-dash A/C that blows nice and cold. The aftermarket radio powers up but currently has no sound, and the speedometer and odometer are not working.
Power comes from a dependable late-'70s GM 350 backed by a smooth-shifting TH350 automatic and a GM 10-bolt rear with 3.55 gears. The engine has been dressed with a new front runner accessory system running the A/C compressor, alternator, water pump, and power steering pump. It's topped with an aluminum dual-plane intake, Holley 600 CFM 4-barrel carburetor, custom air cleaner, MSD ignition, and long-tube headers that give it the sound you'd expect from a hot rod like this. Cooling isn't an issue thanks to a JEGS 3-core aluminum radiator with one electric pusher fan and two puller fans, so it'll happily cruise even on the hottest summer days.
Mechanically, the front suspension has been completely freshened up with new bushings, inner and outer tie rods, ball joints, and springs, making it drive much tighter than you'd expect. It has also been upgraded with power front disc brakes and drums in the rear, giving it solid stopping power to match the V8. This isn't a restored numbers-matching car, and it was never meant to be. It's a well-built custom that starts easily, runs strong, shifts great, stays cool, and turns heads everywhere it goes. If you're looking for something different that you can actually drive and enjoy, this wagon is guaranteed to draw a crowd every time you park it.

Here at Cruisin Classics, we understand that you have many options when choosing where you purchase your classic, muscle or collector car and we would like to thank you for considering us.
Cruisin Classics has been buying and selling cars for many years.. The majority were your average daily drivers but our passion has always been in muscle cars and hot rods so in 1996, Cruisin Classics built a 56,000 sq.ft. showroom located in Columbus, OH that they still operate out of today. All of our vehicles are hand-picked and selected to ensure they fit our inventory. This facility is now arguably one of the best-stocked collections for sale in the US housing hundreds of unique automobiles all under one roof. We invite you to our facility! There is something for everybody when you come to visit.
After years of serving as central Ohio's premiere classic car dealer at Cruisin Classics Auto Sales, we saw an unfulfilled need that was not being met for our clients. We loved helping match our clients with the classic and American muscle cars of their dreams. But what about after the purchase? We recognized that our clients needed a trusted resource to continue to care for their classic vehicles. It did not sit well with us that our valued clients and their incredible vehicles were being outsourced to, sometimes several, third-party resources for maintenance and performance needs. We also wanted to help the many people that we had met over the years who already owned classic vehicles which were in need of restoration, upgrades, and maintenance. Too often, we were seeing vehicles with so much potential left sitting in garages under covers because their owners did not know who to turn to for such specialized work. It is our goal to offer our clients a truly comprehensive, seamless, and enjoyable classic car ownership experience, from purchase to maintenance to storage. Thus, Cruisin Classics Performance Center was born. We have cherry-picked the most talented, experienced, and passionate team of technicians to offer our clients a true one-stop-shop solution for any and all of their classic car needs. Our honest business model has lasted almost 25 years to date and Cruisin Classics has a worldwide reputation as one of the best in the business.
Outside of the shop, this business has afforded us the opportunity to be actively involved in our community and fulfill our goal of supporting several local and national organizations that hold a special place in our hearts. We are proud sponsors of the Kiwanis Club of Columbus, the Columbus USO, Honor Flight, Special Olympics, multiple car clubs, and much more.
In conclusion, 100% customer satisfaction is our main goal. Always has been.. always will be. We would like to invite anyone considering one of our vehicles to come to our beautiful facility to inspect the car in person or send somebody on your behalf.
