Gateway Classic Cars of San Antonio/Austin is proud to present this 1967 Ford Mustang GT, finished in Black over a contrasting White interior. Its fastback body style, dark exterior, and bright interior give this Mustang a distinctive presentation while retaining the unmistakable styling of Ford's first-generation pony car.
Power comes from a 390 CID 4V V8 paired with a 4-speed manual transmission. The accompanying Deluxe Marti Report confirms that this Mustang was factory-equipped with the 390 4V engine and 4-speed manual, giving it a documented big-block and manual-transmission combination.
The Marti Report provides additional insight into how this Mustang left the factory. It was built at Ford's Dearborn assembly plant and was actually produced on December 6, 1966. The report lists a 3.25 conventional rear axle, power steering, AM radio, tinted glass, white sidewall tires, and wheel covers among its original equipment.
Production information included with the Marti documentation adds another interesting piece to the car's history. Of the 472,209 Mustangs produced for 1967, the report states that 71,602 were equipped with the 390 4V engine and 17,628 received a 4-speed manual transmission. It further notes that only 11 were produced with the same engine and transmission codes as this Mustang.
The 1967 model year marked a major point in Mustang performance history, introducing the 390 CID FE V8 as the first big-block offered in the regular-production Mustang. Paired with the available 4-speed manual, it brought factory big-block performance to the Mustang lineup for the first time.
Inside, the current White interior provides a sharp contrast against the Black exterior. The Marti Report indicates the Mustang was originally produced with Black standard bucket seats. Current equipment includes an AM/FM radio, power steering, and power brakes.
