Presenting a nicely executed 1967 Chevrolet Corvette 427/435 tribute coupe that captures the essence of one of the most iconic high-performance Corvettes ever produced. Finished in its original Goodwood Green with white stinger stripes, this car represents a well-maintained older restoration—estimated to be up to 20 years old—offering the look, feel, and performance of the legendary L71 big block cars at a far more approachable level.
This documented 1967 Corvette retains its original Goodwood Green color combination, a timeless and highly desirable pairing that perfectly complements the aggressive styling of the mid-year coupe. During a previous restoration, the car was partially disassembled and rebuilt into a 427/435 tribute using correct-era components. While not a factory L71 427/435 car, this tribute has been thoughtfully executed and delivers a driving experience remarkably close to the original high-horsepower big block cars of its day.
Power comes from a date code correct 427 engine that has been recently rebuilt to a very high standard, representing a significant investment to ensure strong performance and reliability. Topped with a Tri-Power setup beneath the signature air cleaner, the engine delivers the unmistakable sound and feel of a true big block Corvette. It starts easily, idles cleanly, and pulls hard through the rev range, delivering the raw, visceral performance these cars are known for.
On the road, the car performs exactly as it should—tracking straight with tight steering feel and a well-sorted suspension. The driving experience is confident, responsive, and thoroughly engaging, further supported by recent servicing of the 4-speed transmission and rear end. Power brakes provide solid stopping capability, making this an enjoyable and usable classic.
Inside, the green interior presents very well, maintaining a clean and cohesive factory appearance. The upholstery remains in nice condition, complemented by newer carpets and restored gauges that are crisp and easy to read. The clock is functional, and the factory-style AM/FM radio operates as intended. A wood-rimmed steering wheel and chrome 4-speed shifter round out the cockpit with the right blend of sport and vintage appeal. The odometer currently shows 69,586 miles, believed to be original.
The exterior presents as a driver-quality finish. The Goodwood Green paint shows well overall but is best described as average for a high-quality driver, with age-related imperfections consistent with an older restoration. There are visible areas of light checking and “cobwebbing” in the paint. Panel fit is good, and the chrome presents nicely with an appropriate level of patina, reinforcing the car’s honest, usable character.
While there is no known provenance or historical documentation accompanying the car, it was inspected by noted Corvette expert Roy Sinor in January of this year (report available upon request), providing additional confidence in its overall condition and presentation.
With authentic 1967 big block Corvettes commanding well into six-figure territory—and often significantly more for documented, numbers-matching examples—this tribute offers a compelling alternative. It delivers much of the same visual impact, sound, and driving excitement at a fraction of the cost, without the hesitation that often comes with driving a highly valuable, investment-grade car.
Significant investment has already been made in the recent engine rebuild and mechanical sorting, allowing the next owner to step in and enjoy the car immediately without the upfront expense and downtime typically associated with bringing a classic like this to this level.
Opportunities to acquire a properly built, well-sorted big block tribute with this level of presence and performance—especially one that can be confidently driven and enjoyed—are becoming increasingly limited in today’s market. This car represents an excellent balance between value, usability, and classic Corvette experience.
Whether you’re looking for a head-turning weekend driver, a show-worthy cruiser, or a visceral big block experience without the seven-figure anxiety, this 1967 Corvette delivers on all fronts.

Stephen Becker is one of the most renowned Shelby authorities in the world, announced the introduction of a new certified appraisal program for 1960s Shelby Cobras, GT350s and GT500s. Previously available only to a select group of companies and celebrities, SGB’s invaluable expertise is now available to individuals contemplating the sale or purchase of a vintage Shelby car.
“For years, MOPAR, Corvette and Ford collectors have had access to detailed appraisals from experts in those cars, but enthusiasts have not been able to tap a form program when considering the purchase or sale of a Shelby,” said Becker. “With the expertise, records and access to details of Cobras, GT500s and GT350s available through me, collectors can now have the knowledge they need when making a decision on a Shelby they want to purchase or sell.”
Becker personally has performed evaluations for years and attended key collector car auctions for a small group of corporate clients like insurance companies and manufacturers. In late 2009, Stephen Becker provided an appraisal of 75 cars in the corporate and museum collection of Shelby American. The appraisals were done for Shelby’s insurance company, which requested current values of the extensive collection of significant cars. Other high profile corporate and celebrity clients have included the famous Shelby Parts & Restorations company, as well as leaders in the music and entertainment industry.
“Shelby cars are usually considered blue chip collectibles, but each must be carefully inspected and appraised to understand the true value,” noted Becker. “Not only is it important to ensure a car is a genuine Shelby, it’s critical to understand its history. The value difference between a survivor car with great provenance and a Shelby ‘rebuilt’ from a few major components left over from a wreck can be hundreds of thousands of dollars.”
Stephen’s knowledge and extensive library led to the creation of the Becker Certified Shelby Certification program. A proprietary 25 point inspection and exhaustive research provides the most thorough report on the market for genuine Shelby vehicles.
Over the past decade, Stephen Becker has been retained by key automotive groups, collectors and industry leaders to authenticate and value Shelby vehicles. This led to the creation of a program for individual collectors and enthusiasts. When completed, a client received a detailed report with a history of the vehicle, if available, and documentation to validate the value.
Since 1977, Stephen Becker has been regarded as a leading authority on 1960s era Shelby Cobras, GT350s and GT500s. The company’s expertise and in-depth knowledge have been tapped by clients to purchase, broker and restore original Shelby’s. SGB has represented clients around the world on stage when their Shelby’s crossed the block.
Founder Stephen Becker was one of the youngest people to ever be selected as a finalist for the Ernst & Young/Inc. Magazine “Entrepreneur of the Year” in the early 1990s.
