Cruisin Classics is pleased to present this 1966 Ford F100 that's full of custom touches and powered by a big 429ci V-8. This long-bed truck was treated to an extensive restoration that was completed around 2018, and it has only been driven 2,692 miles since, so it still looks very fresh! The two-tone paint is high-quality and features two Ford colors – Toreador Red Metallic and Kodiak Brown Metallic – a unique combination that looks great on this F100. The paint is accented by pink and red pinstriping that was done on top of the clear coat. Up front, you'll find a chrome and red ""V8"" hood badge with FORD block lettering beneath. A brown painted horizontal grille is flanked by new round headlights in bright bezels with turn signals above. The bumper is painted brown as well, and it wears a cool red 1966 Ohio license plate. Moving around to the side, the windshield looks new, and so does its rubber seal. Beneath, you'll see that the wiper arms have been deleted and replaced with chrome caps. Both sides of the truck wear chrome side mirrors, chrome ""Custom Cab"" door handles, and custom ""Ford 100 1966 429"" fender badges in excellent condition. Complementing the side view are a like-new set of silver metallic US Mags wheels with knock-offs wrapped in Nitto Motivo tires. The bed of this F100 has been spray-lined and features a large pink cancer ribbon at the center and a LeMans-style gas cap toward the rear. Up at the front of the bed is a large steel body-colored storage box that currently contains a cover for the truck. On the bottom of the tailgate is more pinstriping with custom script honoring the most recent owner's wife. Beneath the tailgate is a roll pan (no bumper) that gives the rear end a smooth, custom look. A quick peek underneath reveals a clean undercarriage, a newer gas tank, and dual exhaust that dumps in the center at the rear axle.
Under the hood is a clean, organized, and impressive engine bay. The inner fender wells have been customized, and all of the engine bay walls have been coated in Lizard Skin to keep things looking sharp long into the future. At the center is a 429ci Ford engine that the most recent owner says he purchased as a rebuilt long block during the restoration. The big V-8 is topped off with a Weiand intake, an Edelbrock 4-barrel carburetor, polished aluminum valve covers, and a vintage Cadillac air cleaner painted red & brown with more pinstriping. That's not all, though; other highlights include a billet aluminum bracket and pulley system, power steering with a chrome reservoir, a Cold Case aluminum radiator with dual electric fans and chrome overflow, a Mallory distributor, and red plug wires. Exhaust flows through black Cerakoted headers and twin mufflers before emptying out in the rear with a roar that's sure to bring a smile to your face. The big block is mated up to an appropriate C6 3-speed automatic transmission with a Ford rear axle and 3.00:1 gears. Stopping power comes courtesy of power front disc and rear drum brakes with a chrome booster and chrome-capped master cylinder. Take a look underneath to find that this truck now rides on a Mustang II front end – a definite upgrade from stock!
It should come as no surprise that the interior received the same level of attention as the rest of the truck. The custom interior was done by Trent's Trick Upholstery in Ohio (known for their work on SEMA cars), and it looks fantastic. The doors, bench, cab walls, kick panels, shift console, and headliner are all covered in a blend of brown distressed leather-look vinyl and tan fabric with pink stitching accents. Underfoot is dark brown carpet that's kept nice with matching custom floormats. The bench seat is as comfortable as it is stylish and has a pink ribbon badge in the center of the seatback. Ahead of the center of the seat on the floor is a custom shift console with cupholders, a holder for the stereo remote, and a black knob Lokar shifter with a brown boot. Ahead of the driver is a brown leather-wrapped steering wheel with a working horn on a tilt column wrapped in the same brown vinyl as the seat. The dash is painted body-color red, and it features a grey bezel full of new AutoMeter gauges, including a tachometer. The odometer reads 2,692 miles, and we have been told that is the mileage since the restoration in 2018. There are 3 silver knobs beneath the bezel to the right – 1 is for the lights, and the other 2 do nothing. In the center of the dash is a Sony Bluetooth audio system that provides the soundtrack for your cruisin'. Under the center of the dashboard is a switch for the dome light. Ahead of the passenger is a glovebox that contains the stereo instructions and is painted with more custom pinstriping (with the name Wanda). We would like to note that there is no heater, fan, or air conditioning currently in this truck, and we do not have receipts for any of the restoration work that's been done.
If you're looking for a customized Ford show-truck with a big block under the hood, you'll want to take a serious look at this '66 F100! From the slick paint to the over-the-top engine bay to the one-of-a-kind interior - this truck is sure to get attention literally anywhere it goes! Here at Cruisin Classics, we understand that you have many options when choosing where you purchase your classic, muscle or collector car and we would like to thank you for considering us.
Cruisin Classics has been buying and selling cars for many years.. The majority were your average daily drivers but our passion has always been in muscle cars and hot rods so in 1996, Cruisin Classics built a 56,000 sq.ft. showroom located in Columbus, OH that they still operate out of today. All of our vehicles are hand-picked and selected to ensure they fit our inventory. This facility is now arguably one of the best-stocked collections for sale in the US housing hundreds of unique automobiles all under one roof. We invite you to our facility! There is something for everybody when you come to visit.
After years of serving as central Ohio's premiere classic car dealer at Cruisin Classics Auto Sales, we saw an unfulfilled need that was not being met for our clients. We loved helping match our clients with the classic and American muscle cars of their dreams. But what about after the purchase? We recognized that our clients needed a trusted resource to continue to care for their classic vehicles. It did not sit well with us that our valued clients and their incredible vehicles were being outsourced to, sometimes several, third-party resources for maintenance and performance needs. We also wanted to help the many people that we had met over the years who already owned classic vehicles which were in need of restoration, upgrades, and maintenance. Too often, we were seeing vehicles with so much potential left sitting in garages under covers because their owners did not know who to turn to for such specialized work. It is our goal to offer our clients a truly comprehensive, seamless, and enjoyable classic car ownership experience, from purchase to maintenance to storage. Thus, Cruisin Classics Performance Center was born. We have cherry-picked the most talented, experienced, and passionate team of technicians to offer our clients a true one-stop-shop solution for any and all of their classic car needs. Our honest business model has lasted almost 25 years to date and Cruisin Classics has a worldwide reputation as one of the best in the business.
Outside of the shop, this business has afforded us the opportunity to be actively involved in our community and fulfill our goal of supporting several local and national organizations that hold a special place in our hearts. We are proud sponsors of the Kiwanis Club of Columbus, the Columbus USO, Honor Flight, Special Olympics, multiple car clubs, and much more.
In conclusion, 100% customer satisfaction is our main goal. Always has been.. always will be. We would like to invite anyone considering one of our vehicles to come to our beautiful facility to inspect the car in person or send somebody on your behalf.
