Cruisin Classics is proud to present this exceptional 1966 Chevrolet Nova. This Nova was treated to an extensive restoration that transformed a drab Lemonwood Yellow 6-cylinder with Light Fawn interior into a sinister jet black muscle car with a strong 327ci V-8 and stunning red & black interior. Everywhere you look on this car you can see the money and effort spent on it! The black paint is slick, glossy, and deep enough to dive into, with very few miniscule imperfections. Up front, a newly added 2"" cowl hood sits above a new grille flanked by single round headlights in fresh chrome bezels. Below is a mirror-finish chrome bumper with integrated turn signals. This Nova looks stellar from the side, with the black body accented by loads of gleaming brightwork – windshield surround, wiper arms, window trim, drip rail molding, side mirror, door handles, wheel lip molding, and rocker molding – all in excellent condition. Adding to the bling are ""327"" fender badges and ""Nova Chevy II"" rear quarter badges. The cherry on top of the side view are a set of 17"" chrome 5-spoke American Racing wheels all wrapped in Landspider City Traxx red-line tires – a perfect complement to this ride. Around back, new vertical taillight assemblies with LED lights flank a ""Chevy II"" decklid trim panel with another chrome bumper below. Peeking out from underneath are a set of chrome exhaust tips that emit a hearty growl. You're sure to be impressed when you take a look under this car – the incredibly clean undercarriage has been treated with POR 15 undercoating, there's a new gas tank (with a new sending unit), a newer exhaust system, a new trunk pan, new front CPP upper and lower tubular control arms with front brace, a new Unisteer power rack & pinion system, and subframe connectors.
Lift the cowl hood to reveal a stunning clean black engine bay that you'll be proud to show off at any car show. The star of the show is an orange 1967 327ci V-8 that we're told has been bored .40 over to 333ci. According to the information given to us with the car, this block was treated to a new Fel-Pro gasket set, oil pump, timing chain cover, harmonic balancer, freeze plugs, cam bearings, hydraulic flat-tappet camshaft, and SpeedPro hypereutectic flat-top pistons. It's topped with a set of highly desirable double hump heads with new head bolts and roller rockers. Capping things off are chrome ""Chevrolet"" valve covers, an Edelbrock Performer intake, a 600cfm Edelbrock 4-barrel carburetor, and a chrome air cleaner with ""327 TurboFire 350 HP"" decal. What a package! We're not done yet though – ahead of the engine you'll find a chrome compressor for the Vintage Air system, a chrome alternator, a newer water pump, and an aluminum reservoir cannister for the Unisteer power steering system. The chrome continues with new strut mount caps and a new booster and master cylinder for the front disc and rear drum brakes. Keeping everything running as cool as it looks is a Champion aluminum radiator with dual electric fans, an aluminum overflow cannister, and a 180 degree thermostat. This hearty V-8 is mated up to a 700R4 4-speed automatic overdrive transmission that puts power to the pavement via a 10-bolt rear axle with 3.73 gears. This combination is perfect for any driving situation – from casual cruising to racing down the freeway. Exhaust flows through cast manifolds and new pipes and mufflers before exiting the chrome tips with a pleasing rumble.
It should come at no surprise at this point that the interior of this Nova was restored with the same attention to detail and style as the rest of this beautiful machine. When you open the drivers door you're greeted by a jaw-droppingly nice black and red interior that's loaded with creature comforts and conveniences. The black painted doors are dressed with red vinyl panels with bright trim, black armrests, and Pioneer speakers. The doors also have new rubber seals, new window felts, new handles, and new vent window rubber frames and handles. A bright new Fisher sill plate welcomes you inside for comfortable seat in one of the new black vinyl buckets. The manually adjustable front buckets and rear bench match each other and all are in flawless condition. The front seats come with headrests that are currently in the trunk. Between the front buckets is a custom center console dressed in stitched red vinyl and it offers a storage box, cupholders, and a shifter for the automatic transmission. The shifter is a 16"" Lokar dog-leg unit with a white shift ball and a custom shift indicator plate at the base. Overhead is a tight red vinyl headliner with matching visors and underfoot is high-quality new hook & loop carpet. The rear package tray is covered in red vinyl and it's home to two Pioneer 6X9 speakers. Ahead of the driver is a new 3-spoke steering wheel with a working Chevy bowtie horn button on a black Ididit tilt column. The wheel fronts a black painted dash with a new stitched red vinyl dashpad and a new dash bezel kit that's filled with Dakota Digital gauges. The bezel houses a 160mph speedometer, an 8K tachometer, and gauges for fuel, temp, oil, and volts. The gauges all light up red and perfectly complement the interior. In the center of the gauges is an information screen that offers a digital clock, trip odometer, digital speedometer and tach, and water temp – all controlled by a couple of buttons mounted on an underdash plate to the right of the column. The odometer reads 2,393 and we believe that's likely the mileage since the build. In the center of the dash is a Custom Autosound AM/FM stereo that plays through the four aforementioned speakers. Below the stereo are controls for the Vintage Air system that deliver cold A/C and hot heat with a strong fan. Ahead of the passenger is a glovebox door with a ""Nova II"" badge, but the glovebox has no interior ""box"", just access to the wiring and ductwork behind the dash. Around back in the trunk is a vinyl mat, a full non-matching spare with factory-style jack, the front seat headrests, a set of black rubber Chevy floormats, a fire extinguisher, a '66 Nova Assembly Manual, a plethora of receipts and installation guides, and about ten photos of the car during the restoration.
