Restored in 2012 to more factory specifications before receiving a new updated drivetrain along with some other 21st century touches in 2024! This 66 SuperSport is now powered by a Supercharged GM LS3 Engine mated to a 4-speed Automatic transmission, backed by a GM 12-Bolt rear axle spinning 3.08 Posi gears! This car was professionally finished in Tuxedo Black during the aforementioned restoration and still shows very well today. Exterior details have not been modified from stock however the headlights have been upgraded with modern tech.The interior has also been redone and features front bucket seats and a rear bench all trimmed in black vinyl upholstery that are accompanied by matching door panels and black carpeting. During restoration sound deadening material was added from the firewall to the tail panel. A factory 2-spoke steering wheel frames the Classic Instrument Gauges. The five-digit odometer shows 1,500 miles, which reflects mileage added on the new drivetrain components. A JL Audio Bluetooth has also been installed during refurbishment and sounds great! Other features include a stock style shifter, center console mounted clock, and seat belts!Popping the hood you will find a 639hp LS3 fitted with an upgraded camshaft, ceramic coated headers, and the all important Magnuson 2300TVS Supercharger with an integrated liquid-to-air intercooler! This is conservatively tuned and runs on pump gas (91-93 octane) with Holley Engine Management. Underneath the car is clean, rust free, and trimmed in a satin black finish. Notably there is a laundry list of upgraded components. Overall this is a very well mannered car that is very easy to enjoy. The power is there when you want it! Just prior to the passing of the matriarch of LaFontaine Automotive Group, Maureen LaFontaine, the building in downtown Milford became available and it was the ideal location to launch LaFontaine Classic Cars. The attention to detail and automotive nostalgia throughout is a tribute to Maureen and her everlasting legacy.
The showroom aims to bring buyers back in time to a more classic feel. In addition to all the vehicles in the showroom, the space is decorated with vintage signs from vehicle brands of the past. Not only are there vehicles in the building, but the parking lot to the south contains many others available for purchase.
Michael Sr. commented, “This area is prefect for us as we have a lot of roots in Milford and absolutely love this quaint downtown. We look forward to welcoming fellow automotive enthusiasts through our showroom doors and they can expect to receive the same Family Deal feeling people have come to expect at any of our other dealerships. LaFontaine Classic Cars acquires vehicles several ways, with a majority of them coming through auction and Michael Sr.’s personal collection.
