Historically Significant as the Final Karmann-Built Porsche 356 C Coupe Finished in Original Irish Green over Fawn Leatherette Color Combination Extensive Restoration by Renowned 356 Specialist Don Emory Retains Matching-Numbers Engine per Porsche Records Featured in an Episode of Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee The 356 C, the final evolution of the Porsche 356, debuted at the 1963 Frankfurt Motor Show featuring subtle styling revisions and, most importantly, four-wheel disc brakes, improving braking performance and consistency. Finished in Irish Green over Fawn leatherette, this 1965 Porsche 356 C holds the distinction of being the final 356 C Coupe built by Karmann, as noted on its Porsche Certificate of Authenticity. Ordered with KONI shock absorbers, fog lamps, headlamp stone guards, camber compensating spring, seat belts, and a Blaupunkt Bremen radio, it was specified with an unusually comprehensive option list. According to its factory Kardex, the Porsche was delivered on June 4, 1965, through Porsche Car Import of Northbrook, Illinois, to its first owner, Hugh Foster of Chicago. During 1997–1998, the Porsche benefited from an extensive restoration to its original configuration completed by renowned 356 specialist Don Emory, one of the most respected names in the marque. More recently, it was featured alongside Jerry Seinfeld and comedian Neal Brennan in an episode of Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee. Combining expert restoration, desirable factory specifications, and the unique distinction of being the final Karmann-built C Coupe, this exceptional and historically significant example stands as a particularly distinctive member of the final 356 generation.
