The 1965 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray is widely considered one of the most iconic and desirable iterations of the C2 (second-generation) Corvette. Available in both a convertible and a coupe, the 1965 model year is highly prized by collectors and automotive enthusiasts for introducing several major performance and aesthetic upgrades. Core Features Updates - Four-Wheel Disc Brakes: A massive milestone for the 1965 model. The introduction of power-assisted 4-wheel disc brakes with a 4-piston design and cooling-fin rotors finally gave the car stopping power to match its immense engine options. - Exterior Tweaks: The faux front fender coves (seen on earlier C2s) were replaced with three functional vertical louvers. The grille was updated to a horizontal bar design with blacked-out accents. - Big-Block Engine Debut: Mid-year, Chevrolet introduced the legendary 396 cid 'big-block' V8 rated at 425 horsepower. Cars with this engine featured a distinct 'power bulge' on the hood to provide clearance for the engine. - Interior Refinements: The gauges were given flat black faces, the seats were redesigned for better support, and door panels and trim were refreshed. In 1965, the Corvette offered a massive variety of small-block and big-block V8 engines ranging from 250 horsepower all the way up to the massive 425-horsepower big block. Represented as having 30,000 actual miles this Stingray has been a part of the Duncan Imports collection since 2023.
