This 1964 Chevrolet Impala SS combines one of Chevrolet’s most recognizable full-size designs with a desirable 327 V8, automatic transmission, factory air conditioning, power steering, and power-assisted brakes. Finished in Ermine White over a blue bucket seat interior, the car presents in a classic color combination supported by its Fisher Body trim tag.
Under the hood is a 327 Turbo-Fire V8 wearing a factory-style air cleaner and Chevrolet Orange finishes. The engine pad is stamped F0523S, indicating a May 23 Flint engine assembly date, appropriately preceding the car’s first-week-of-June Fisher Body build. The engine is paired with an automatic transmission. No VIN derivative was found on the engine pad, and the block casting number was not accessible with the engine installed, so the engine is not represented as numbers matching.
The car retains factory air conditioning controls and an A6-style compressor arrangement, with the compressor having been replaced with a later service unit. Power steering makes this full-size Chevrolet easy to maneuver, while a vacuum booster assists the four-wheel drum brake system. The single-reservoir master cylinder is also a replacement service component.
Inside, the blue interior features front bucket seats, a center console with floor shifter, SS appointments, and an aftermarket AM/FM cassette stereo. The upholstery, door panels, dash, carpeting, and bright trim present especially well and maintain the period character of the Impala’s interior.
