1963 Chevrolet Impala Sport Coupe, 327 V8, Powerglide Automatic, Long-Term Ownership The 1963 Chevrolet Impala Sport Coupe is one of the most recognizable and desirable full-size Chevrolets ever produced. Combining sleek styling, dependable V8 power, and timeless design, this Impala represents everything enthusiasts love about early 1960s American automobiles. With over three decades of dedicated ownership, extensive documentation, and a wonderful history, this is an exceptional opportunity to own a true American classic. Originally purchased new from Cheyenne Motors in Wyoming, this Impala was acquired by its current owner in 1990, where it has remained in the same collection for approximately 35 years. Throughout its life, the car has been carefully maintained and preserved, with restoration work documented during the late 1980s and service records accompanying the vehicle. Under the hood is Chevrolet's legendary 327 Cubic Inch V8 Engine, equipped with a 4-Barrel Carburetor and a Single-Snorkel Air Cleaner Assembly. Power is delivered through the dependable 2-Speed Powerglide Automatic Transmission, providing the smooth, effortless cruising experience that made the Impala one of America's favorite automobiles. The car starts easily, runs smoothly, and delivers the unmistakable sound and feel that only a classic Chevrolet V8 can provide. Finished in its beautiful Palomar Red (Paint Code 948), this Impala has outstanding curb appeal. The timeless styling is highlighted by quad headlights, dual triple taillights, chrome bumpers, polished brightwork, twin outside mirrors, and the signature recessed rear tail panel that helped make the 1963 model year so iconic. Documentation indicates that rust repair and refinishing were performed in 1988, followed by additional restoration work documented in 1989, helping preserve this classic for decades to come. Inside, the cabin has been tastefully updated with replacement front bucket seats and a matching gray cloth rear bench seat, creating a comfortable and inviting interior. The center console features beautiful engine-turned trim, complemented by vent windows, a factory heater, and an Alpine cassette stereo for those who appreciate a touch of vintage audio. The instrument panel retains its classic appearance with a horizontal-sweep 120 MPH speedometer, analog clock, and fuel gauge, while a Stewart-Warner column-mounted tachometer and auxiliary Sunpro gauges for oil pressure, amperage, and engine temperature provide valuable engine information. The Impala rides on 14-inch steel wheels fitted with attractive triple-finned vented full wheel covers wrapped in Goodyear Regatta white-stripe tires, giving the car the perfect period-correct stance. A full-size spare remains in the trunk. Power steering makes the car a pleasure to drive, while four-wheel drum brakes provide the authentic driving experience expected from a classic Chevrolet of this era. Past & Present Motor Cars was founded in June of 2018 by Jack and Jeff and began in 2 small warehouses in Ocala and Winter Garden, Florida. After seeing the business have steady growth in the first year and a half in March 2020 we moved our Main Location in Winter Garden to a new location that at the time seemed huge. We were a little nervous to take on this larger building and higher rent but we knew we had to THINK BIG. After getting moved in, that was the start of Covid. Just after getting settled in we put signs on the door saying we were only open by appointment. While it was a tough time in the world it actually was a good time to be in the car business especially the classic car business and we continued to see steady growth. After 2 1/2 years in that location we proceeded to acquire 4 buildings and lease a 5th building. This allowed for the operation we have today with 150+ Classic Cars and a Service Department. We are still doing the same thing we have done everyday since we opened, Great Customer Service, Owners that are Available and Accessible for our customers and very happy to talk cars anytime anywhere. We will never grow too big to be real with anyone! Keeping our commitment to our customers through straightforward business and ALWAYS doing the right thing! We are the same people with the same commitment as the day we opened and our slogan is and remains:
