"This 1963 Chevrolet Corvette convertible is said to have spent a number of years in storage before being acquired by the previous owner in August 2023, and it is equipped with a color-coordinated removable hardtop. The red-over-black vinyl convertible is equipped with rear-exit exhaust pipes, a woodgrain-rimmed steering wheel, knock-off spinner-style hubcaps, drum brakes, and an AM/FM radio.
The fiberglass body came from the factory finished in Riverside Red and it is said to have been repainted following the car's rediscovery. It features a removable hardtop, flip-up headlamps, fender vents, quad tail lamps, chrome bumperettes, and dual exhaust tips that exit through the rear valance. The car is not equipped with a soft top.
Steel 15"" wheels feature three-eared knock-off spinner-style hubcaps and are mounted with 205/70 Goodyear Integrity tires. The C2 was the first Corvette to offer fully independent suspension, with upper and lower control arms at the front and a three-link setup with a transverse leaf spring at the rear. Braking is handled by four-wheel drums.
The cabin features two bucket seats upholstered in black vinyl as well as color-coordinated door panels and carpets. Amenities include a padded console cover, a heater, an AM/FM radio, an analog clock, and lap belts.
The three-spoke woodgrain-rimmed steering wheel frames a 160-mph speedometer and a tachometer with a 6,500-rpm redline as well as gauges for amperage, oil pressure, coolant temperature, and fuel level. The five-digit odometer shows 31k miles.
The 327ci L76 V8 was equipped from the factory with a single four-barrel carburetor and a high-lift camshaft for a factory rating of 340 horsepower. The oil was changed and the other fluids were checked in February 2025.
The engine stamping includes sequence 107201, which matches the last six digits of the vehicle's serial number. The RE suffix corresponds with a 340-horsepower, 327ci V8 for use with a manual transmission.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission.
