Exterior
Its squared front fenders, reminiscent of an Autocar truck, and pressed-in body lines, presumably meant to evoke the paneling on woodies from the past, was a real landmark when it first appeared as a 1946½ entry, as the domestic industry's first all-steel station wagon designed by well know industrial designer Brooks Stevens. And this one is no exception, draped in Gray paint, with a Dark Gray top, the paint shows very nicely. Panels are straight, and gaps are good. Chrome is in fine shape. Wheels are Cragar 17 inchers and throw on some key areas of red and black pinstripe flourishes and we have a great looking, go anywhere wagon...road trip!
Interior
Swinging the simple doors open the interior has been updated with leather seating, courtesy of a 2009 GMC, the buckets in front covered in leather and just clean black carpet in the rear for plenty of gear. Center mounted dash has been upgraded with various toggles, knobs and a woodgrain covering. Interesting placement of the radio directly above the steering column. vents located that provides heat or cooling when you road trip. A note to the rear gate, nice oak furring strips provide a runway to slip stuff into the rear compartment without messing up the carpet. A tight headliner hovers above all this.
Drivetrain
Long gone is the paltry original 4-cylinder engine, now it has 350 CID crate motor, a 700 R-4 Overdrive Lockup automatic transmission, all hooked to a 3.90 posi rear driven by a balanced drive shaft. The Painless wiring harness keeps things electrically sound. Crank er up!
Undercarriage
Black rust free straight sturdy steel underneath, with a cooling fan, power steering and power brakes round out this nicely restored S-10 Chassis and undercarriage.
A Willys resto-mod if you will, plenty of great upgrades, but retaining the original stamped steel body and all its silver charm, original badging, and grille. Now you've got some power in your corner, comfort from modern AC and heat, structural steel in your pocket, and comfy leather under your but! VIN Decode

Laguna Classic Cars & Automotive Art is the creation of Andy and Beth Coyle, long-time Laguna residents. Andy began his career in the auto business by giving tours at the Ford River Rouge manufacturing complex in Dearborn Michigan before working in the Lincoln Mercury Division in sales and marketing positions. After being transferred to southern California, Andy went on to a successful career managing and owning car and RV dealerships. Andy also competed and won in several auto racing organizations including SCCA Cal Club, International Road Racing Association, and NASCAR Winston West series and NASCAR Super Late Model series. Some of the tracks he has competed on include Riverside Raceway, Rockingham Speedway, Irwindale, Mid America Raceway, Sears Point, Monroe Washington Fairgrounds, and Tucson Raceway Park. Since moving to Southern California over 30 years ago Andy knew that Laguna Canyon was the ideal location for selling interesting cars and auto related art. Laguna Beach, and especially Laguna Canyon, is home to many car enthusiasts, collectors and craftsman. Laguna is also world known for its exceptional natural beauty and thriving art culture.
